Martin. Hope you are having clear skies. We are in rainy season in in Florida. Thought I’d share a hack for finding objects with the Dobsonian. I saw a hack where someone purchased a Celestron StarSense Telescope and remove the StarSense mount and put it on their 10” Dobsonian. Anyway I purchased a Celestron Star Sense Explorer Lt 114 Az US $187. Took of the Star Sense to put on my Aperture 8” AD. The telescope is fairly cheap but I converted the 114 to a spotting scope for Watch birds and neighbors. Please check out my friend. The two hacks from you work great Camera cooler and Newt fan. Nice job Martin. Sorry to change the subject however but do you have any idea (given you've made the ST tube upgrade videos) how I could fit an electronic focuser to my StarTravel 120? FLO say, in their blurb for the Skywatcher electronic focuser, that, if your focus knobs are not removable because they are glued on (which mine are) then the SW electric focuser is of no use. I always think though: There's got to be a way?
Another thing: Those prints on your wall. I asked before but I'll ask again: How/where did you get them printed and what camera/set up was used to achieve the resolution quality to be able to have them printed that poster size?
I think Telescope Service do a Electric focuser upgrade for it www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p2485_Rigel-nFocus-Motorfokus-for-GSO-and-TS-Optics-Crayford-Focusers.html But it doesn't look great, however you could make a special bracket and attach a toothed belt on a Skywatcher Electric focus, I've done something similar in with the Skywatcher 127 Mak, many years ago in a video!!
Having a toothed belt and attach it on the focus wheel of the 10:1 side might just work!!
The prints on the wall I've used was an online printing shop, I need to find what company that is, it's been a while!!
