When you feel discouraged because of the illness, don’t think about what you have lost, but think about what you still have, and give your children big hugs and kisses 😘 Stay strong, and peace to you, Vanessa. 💪🏻❤️💪🏻
Redsorgum , Such good words but also , think what the Doctors say and strive higher . When i was a volunteer at a dog rescue centre . A lad called Dave arrived to help walk the dogs , nice bloke and hard core as although he had a funny gait when walking . He kept up and did exactly what i did with no complaint . When i finally asked him why he had this gait he told me . He crashed at the Isle of Man TT on his bike , very badly . The Doctors said he would never walk again !! . Yet he did and went on to exceed any Doctors expectations . Still exceeding what the Doctors said all those years later . Sadly i lost touch with him but i hope his still walking and doing his thing with one finger in the face of adversity :-)
@@zeberdee1972 Yep, because of some chronic illnesses that I’m battling, I’ve had to make changes/adapt. Many different types of motorcycles that I used to ride, have become painful to ride. I would love to ride the Isle of Man, but not at their speeds.
@@redsorgum Yet you are still riding :-) a sign that the middle finger is extended and prominent in the face of Adversity /Chronic illness . And long may you ride , as for the speeds that they ride . Well back to the age thing , when you was young no height was too high to jump off , no gap was too wide to jump over etc . Then age and experience and responsibility , now if i jump of jump off i could break my leg or ankle or worse ......ill walk around lol . Funny how with age your mind changes or as has been said long before Wiser lol . Although i still don't think im wiser !!!! just more clumsier lol
Welcome back to the forest , it is a good sign and far from a disappointment for me . Everything takes time and this is just the first step. Best wishes.

I truly understand your frustration Vanessa. The past 21/2 years have been spent caring for my father with his cancer on top of which health issues also helped take me from complete gym rat workout nut, to horribly out of shape & much weaker. BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF. You are extremely driven with a work ethic second to NONE! You WILL get where you want to be, but it's only 2 MONTHS since that damned tick got you. Give yourself the time you need to regain your full strength, I TRULY believe YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING! You are loved with many prayers for you from around the world. I contracted Lyme and several other tick borne illnesses in 2008. My Bell’s Palsy lasted for 8-10 weeks. I admire your courage confronting the wilds again.
Please don't get down on yourself for not reaching the goals you set. Your body has gone, and is going through a major trauma. I can see by the way you're pushing yourself, you will overcome this horrendous disease. I truly believe that a positive attitude is a critical factor in recovery. I think most will agree with me that we are not disappointed IN you, just disappointed FOR you.
Vanessa, Small steps lead to larger steps my friend. I'm so proud of your progress thus far! Our bodies heal on their own schedule and sometimes they don't heal at all. With that said there will be times when we need to learn new ways of doing things and understand that things will take longer to get to our end point, our goal. Please be kind and patient with yourself Vanessa. Life is about change and learning to adapt to those changes. If I may speak for all of us, we're on this journey with you! I lived in Malaysia for a year and used to go in the forest by myself. The locals were surprised and told me it was dangerous and it was. Hello Emma! I am sure that the forest in Malaysia is more dangerous than the forest here. But you are absolutely right, the biggest danger are bad people . Thank You! Best wishes, Vanessa
The main thing is your trying and fighting the disease - it isn't easy -I've been fighting lyme disease for 5 months and most days just going for a drive for a couple hours with my camera leaves me completely exhausted - don't think of this as a fail but as win because you were able to get out for the day - we're all cheering for you - keep up the fight and you'll win
I’m not disappointed at all! I’m very glad that you are showing your true experiences. We all have to take life day by day. We never know what will happen. I think this was a great video and very honest. Take all the rest time you need. I’ll still be here and I’m sure everyone else will too. You do such great work and you should be very proud of yourself 😊
Not a disappointment in anyway, nothing wrong with a good day trip. You still got to get out in the woods where you love. Short days in the winter allows darkness to creep upon a person very fast. I'll be looking forward to your next video, always remember to take care of yourself, and stay safe.
Young lady you help us believe all things are possible. Your life is the content, not the topic. Look how far you have come. You present us the gift of your precious heartbeats, thank you.
OMG Vanessa, I watched this video earlier today. It looked very much the same as this one, except you spoke your native tung . Now here you are speaking English. I am impressed. You are actually making two versions at the same time !!!!
You came back even more beautiful than before. Seriously ! I am just an old guy watching but I do have good taste and smart enough to see strength in others.
Even sick, you are Absolutely stunning and a knockout. Look.. please rest& relax. Dont wory about us. You wory about getting better. You can check in once a week with that black outfit. We wont complain. I cant wait to see how you build the new lean shelter.. but no hurry. Want you 100% ... God bless you and take care. Love from Michigan.
I just received your card, my birthday is in 5 days so it is a welcome birthday card. It was so nice of you to send it. Take care of your self and do more nature walks to build up your stamina.
Vanessa...you underestimate your viewers. We understand you are human, you are recovering from a very serious illness, and that you are impatient to be fully healthy again. The fact is, you realized that you were overextending yourself. You assessed the situation, and made a wise decision to cut short your outing and return to your home for rest and recouperation. There is a valuable lesson there. Under more severe environmental conditions, that decision might very well have saved your life. We all benefit from your skills and knowledge of nature...but what happened to you in this video, and the manner in which you dealt with it, taught us much more than you realize. All the best to you. Pace yourself. Stay safe.
Don't be too hard on yourself. Your health comes first. You've got loyal subscribers who will watch whatever videos you post. Nice seeing you out and about!
As a disabled Marine I fully understand what you are going thru. Look at it this way...You made the attempt to move forward and that is always positive. You found your limit which you needed to find. Now you have a goal for next time you feel the call of the wild. Every step farther you get shows improvement but never never give up. Keep tattempting until you get where you want to be. I had to give up the hiking because I am no longer able to carry the weight for long distance but I still get out there to camp. I use different tools and such but I found my way to still enjoy the outdoors. You will adapt and heal and find your NEW way to still acomplish what you wish to acomplish. But dont ever get down on yourself, Keep your head held high and be prouod of what you are able to do and will be able to do as you heal. Semper FI! Vic
Venessa, I have been watching you from the start. You are trying to present us with content when you need to be healing. You had a complicated delivery, before you recovered from that you contracted Lime Disease, probably on a bushcraft outing. Both of those are life threatening events. I have seen people take a year to recover from Lime disease and stay in the hospital for half that time. Get well, then go outside. Show us your farm, your kids at Christmas, the bread you bake and the foods you cook. Stay in, stay warm, get well.
Vanessa, so very good to see you in the woods again. Thank you for continuing to share your journey with strength and courage. Harmony, Happiness and Healing from my home to yours 🖖☮❣🌱🌱🌱 🇨🇦 Edit: there is no disappointment. You share your bravery with all of us. Bush craft is also the ability to persevere and continue on. You are a wonderful and beautiful example to all to not give up. Thank You 💗
Hope your back to yourself soon and try not to get too frustrated as you have had a serious illness only 8 weeks ago and recovery is more important than making videos.
You have nothing to worry about Vanessa. Your subscribers are here for your kind heart and passion. We aren´t going to leave you while you recover. Have faith. It is about more than bushcraft videos. It is a link around the world that you have inspired.
As I watch this video, my heart literally broke. It was the closest I have come to tearing up. watching your journey following this personal tragedy is both difficult and inspirational. I am proud of you sweet lady, you show hope and strength and I know you will beat this! big love from Rob. X
Vanessa, these conditions rob you of your energy. If you try to push back too hard you will feel totally exhausted. You must eat well and rest well and concentrate on positive things. In this way you will feel better quicker. Just watching you its possible to see how much effort you are having to use to do what used to be regular tasks. Start more slowly. Dont feel discouraged. You made the right decision under the circumstances. Give yourself as much time as you need for recovery. An overnight at the cabin might be an easier way back. People do understand so don't feel bad.
Inspirational!! We all get in a rut from time to time. We can get back to doing things we love, it just takes time and healing! There is always light at the other end of the tunnel. You will get there Vanessa and we will be waiting as long as it takes!!! Stay strong!!!!
You should know by now that your subscribers have learned that there is more to Vanessa Blanc than just bushcraft. There’s your farm, children, camp in the forest. 99% of your subscribers are invested in you and want you to get stronger every day. Also.... much less daylight these days. Don’t be hard on yourself, you’ve put a lot of pressure on yourself to do things for us but we just want to see you get better, stronger, and enjoy your life. Take us along for the ride and that’s enough for us. Deep respect and love from Maine, USA
I enjoy being out in the snow because it makes everything clean and sounds are muffled. Enjoyed your intro to video. You are very neat and organized. Your stamina will return in time. No one is disappointed. Take your time. 🤗
Vanessa you NEVER disappoint us... You give us wonderful videos that teach us so much. Your health is more important to us so look after yourself first..... We will still be here.... ps: with 2 boys a baby and 100 animals are you trying to tell us that your house is quiet???? :-)))))) xxxx
we would never be disappointed , your health is top priority , maybe you should TAKE more TIME and longer time to recover . you have had a serious medical issue and we completely understand . do not bushcraft for our enjoyment ; we would be happier to see you at home resting and doing easy simple things . GOD BLESS YOU..
Vanessa my love ! You need not to apologize for anything... Your a very strong woman and love to be in the wilderness and peaceful. You have made much progress so you are on the road to recovery.. You can do this Vanessa . Keep smiling , take it slow and steady win the race... Look forward to seeing you wild Bushcraft Woman... Love you ! 😘🔥👍
Vanessa I'm not your daddy but I'm old enough to be your grandpa! I think you really need to wear some kind of safety glass's Just to be on the safe side... I really think your right side is getting better Just keep up with your face exercise. Your going to be ok Kid-O....
Do not be disappointed! You got out in to the woods - which you love! Little steps. I / we the viewers are happy to see you getting back to doing what you love to do. Keep getting stronger and take all the time you need. We will be here for you. I / we are not disappointed at all. Infact I was joyful to see you make a video of any kind. Do not be angry. Be joyful. Anger slows healing. A series of cabin videos would be awesome! Little steps to gain your strength. Little steps to heal your spirits. I say this after breaking my ankle in June and not being able to go out and do things as easily as I used to do. Only 1 camping trip this year! The more discouraged I was the more it seemed my ankle would never heal. Take your time at things and enjoy what you are able to do! WE WILL WAIT FOR YOU!!!!!
Hey, VB, your on the way back, your moving forward, you are getting stronger each day so don’t despair and be upset. Your YT family are here for you,yes we want bushcraft videos but we want to see your development. You have shared your experiences of your illness and you have overcome the self confidence of the effect of your illness. We ARE NOT disappointed we are all rooting for you and we are still here. So take us with you on your improvements and smashing out videos of your development and how mentally you overcome this illness.... do it, do something not nothing.
Don't be discouraged. I worked rehab for twenty years here in the States. And you're taking the first steps, and that's what is important. Believe me, you are more of an encouragement than you may think. I have always respected you. But after having seen this video, my respect is even greater. Because you don't give up. I'm not disappointed, only respect you more. As I've already said. Hang in there. Still praying for you.
I'm back ,I send last comment before the end ,we humans learn better through ups n downs ,and ur hair looked great, did u get done ,an chicken was awesome as always n made hungry again, n not disappointed in any thing ,no worry friend u have been thru much an right after baby ,energy will return, maybe juices exercise n detoxing naturally and that dress at WOW ,stunning young lady 😁😁😀😀😏😏😉😉👍✌👋
Hi Vanessa, I think you might be assuming too much- I didn't come here just to see a bushcrafting video. Like most of your long time subscribers I came here to see YOU. Bushcrafting is fine but watching you in the outdoors is what is truly magical. Watching your videos I feel like I am there too just being alive in nature with a friend. You capture the experience better than anyone else on UA-cam! Please don't be so hard on yourself. So what if your trip didn't go according to some predefined plan? You got back out there and that in itself is nothing short of miraculous! Personally I am simply overjoyed that you are feeling well enough again to even try! Sending love, gratitude and all the best from California 💛
Good video!!! You taught a very important lesson Vanessa. Listen to your heart and sole, they will keep you safe. Some people would say you quit the situation..... other people would say you saw common sense and reality. Always follow your heart and intuition, it will keep you safe, that's why we have them. Stay strong and be safe nice lady. Best wishes to you and your family for xmas.
I hope your followers will stay with you. You have a wonderful and simple lifestyle that is appealing to me. You are a good person. The kind of person I have as friends. I have lived a simple life and I am 65 years old. I want to encourage you to be happy with little by little recovery. Do not be discouraged. I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and degenerative arthritis in my knees a few years ago. I gradually got worse because it is difficult to live with pain. Then I started to babysit my aged 2 and 4 year old grandsons. It's not just babysitting, there's PLAYING involved!! After 2 months of this I have gotten stronger. I may never be able to do what you do but I'm psyched up to build a bush craft camp in my back yard behind the chicken coop, lol. While watching your video, I have decided to do it. I have the bugout bag fully equipped and woods around me for materials. Husband can ride me down to the woods and we have a big cart to haul wood up in. I want to have fun again!
Do NOT apologize for anything! You owe us nothing. We tune in to catch glimpses of your adventures, when you are ready to share, on YOUR time, not ours. You have taken the first steps toward your goal and that is completely admirable. Your true fans will always be here for you, cheering you on! You have inner strength and a fire that burns bright. Thank you for letting us experience some it through your videos.
Very good lessons! You don't owe us anything. But please keep healing and learning your new limits. You don't owe anything, but we are very grateful for sharing your life with us!
I think I speak for most people who subscribe to your channel when I say this, but I'm happy to watch a Vanessa Blank video no matter what you want to show us. If you are strong enough to go out doors then awesome. If you make a video of yourself rocking out to AC/DC, that's also cool. What ever you make videos about, we will watch.
Like that banana saw. A big one.Don' hear any birds chirping earlier in flick. Do you have chickedees that fly in groups quite acrobatically and flit from branch to branch eating bark bugs with a sweet churp.
There is no reason for you to feel disappointed in yourself, since you tried and did not give up, like so many others. The body takes time to heal, and if you continue, you will find yourself doing more and more. Take it from an old man, as you age, you do not bounce like you used to, but, you do bounce. When I was little, my father said, "Don't let the bastard win." Later, in military training, a Drill Instructor said the same thing. I learned, the 'Bastard' is your own mind, telling you to quit. I tell people, "Don't kill yourself, until you are dead." What I mean by that, is the old, "Improvise, Adapt, Overcome." Because, as long as you are alive, you can do those. I am 73 and riding motorcycles, again.
Vanessa, I am sure your subscribers have more to worry about than dust specks on your camera lens. We are more concerned about your physical and mental well being. You need to concentrate on recovery more than anything. Stay strong and remember you have 121K subscribers who are supporting you and praying for your recovery. So, put out a video when you are able and post updates on your recovery. You, also, have 3 boys to worry about.
I'm not all disappointed. If I were, that would make me very, very selfish. I honestly am happy to see you fit enough to at least try. Keep going Vanessa.
Hi Vanessa, I am pretty sure that no one is disappointed with this video. It may not have gone as well as you might have wished, but you gave it your best shot. Just seeing you out in the forest, or in your home, or with the kids and farm animals is, in my opinion, a great video from you. The strength and determination it took for you to get out and try is very commendable. Please try not to be too disappointed with yourself. Considering what you have been through, you are doing remarkably well !!! Just seeing you, and hearing how you are doing is more than enough to make a wonderful video. Try to be patient, we, your loyal followers, are not going anywhere. I am anxiously awaiting the trip to the cabin video. Will the boys be going with you? As always, please tell your boys that Jim in Alaska says hello. All the best to you and your family !!!
Every thing is ok with all of use we just want "you" to get better beautiful we 💘 you and your video's please just take your time and get well sweetheart ! We all love you gorgeous. Stay safe sweetie!. xoxo p.s you didn't disappoint me.

I am glad to see you back! One day at a time.. how is your cabin? Hope you continue to get better and to get your strength back!
Nevermind about the cabin...lol I am watching you and your children now at the cabin...your winter stay...pays to scroll through your videos..🙄

So glad you are back out again ❤️
Me too 😊
Vanessa...you underestimate your viewers. Stay safe.
" Put my chicken over my shoulder" That's not something you hear everyday.
Don't be disappointed Vanessa you will get there in the end it just takes a while
Don't be too hard on yourself.

Edit: there is no disappointment. You share your bravery with all of us. Bush craft is also the ability to persevere and continue on.
You are a wonderful and beautiful example to all to not give up.
Thank You 💗
Wow Katie, I can only say THANK YOU for this nice and friendly words!! ☀️
Wish you the best!
Hope your back to yourself soon and try not to get too frustrated as you have had a serious illness only 8 weeks ago and recovery is more important than making videos.

As I watch this video, my heart literally broke. It was the closest I have come to tearing up. watching your journey following this personal tragedy is both difficult and inspirational. I am proud of you sweet lady, you show hope and strength and I know you will beat this! big love from Rob. X
The most important is to be out there. I really enjoyed this video, and you look great.
Well done vanessa ,great to see you back in the forest ,take your time to heal yourself ,stay strong and safe .🦉👍😍
Awesome lady. ❤❤
Thank you very much Keith !

Well said!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoy being out in the snow because it makes everything clean and sounds are muffled. Enjoyed your intro to video. You are very neat and organized. Your stamina will return in time. No one is disappointed. Take your time. 🤗
When I see your video, it really feels like I'm watching a scene from a movie Always be healthy. From South Korean UA-camr Woongkham.💟👍👍👍

This is true Jim!

I'm just happy u made it back out to the wilderness, good video, blessings to you and family
we would never be disappointed , your health is top priority , maybe you should TAKE more TIME and longer time to recover . you have had a serious medical issue and we completely understand . do not bushcraft for our enjoyment ; we would be happier to see you at home resting and doing easy simple things . GOD BLESS YOU..
Vanessa my love ! You need not to apologize for anything...
Your a very strong woman and love to be in the wilderness and peaceful.
You have made much progress so you are on the road to recovery..

This is a good idea Richard! Thank You!
Best wishes, Vanessa
Hi Vanessa,
I think you might be assuming too much- I didn't come here just to see a bushcrafting video.
