I suggests that you guys should do seat width (space BETWEEN THE ARMRESTS) review/critique. It is just as important as legroom as it affects the quality of sleep/comfort especially on long-haul. Your reviews are already great and helpful for us economy travelers and I think adding the seat width review will only make it even more perfect. Thanks a lot.
Having enough leg room is most important after all we're not all midgets or contortionists. Worse is having the person in front throw their seat back right in front of your face. This should be stopped.
Outstanding video! Very comprehensive review of seating in all three cabins. Would suggest that you explain the differences in meals served in each class and how the presentation of meals differs by class. Thanks for an enjoyable program. Take care and Happy Travels!
Thank you! Sadly we can not include the catering in our review because we have not flown other products than Economy Class of Singapore Airlines on long-haul routes.
A good, factual comparison of the seating in the three classes. Next, you should do a comparison of the other amenities and the food offerings, though for that you'll have to make three flights!
I always fly with Singapore Airlines every time l go overseas. It's always good. The cabin crew are nice. I feel like at home with my family around me. They are all just wonderful.
Thank you for watching! You're absolutely right. Arriving at the destination in a way better shape is the most important reason for flying Business Class.
One thing to consider. From my quick survey premium isn't much more expensive than economy, usually a few hundred dollars, but business class is 6-10 times as much.
Value is always derived with taking monetary considerations always , Premium Economy gives a better value than business for the amount spent. On board meals and services in Premium economy is quite there in comparison to Business , the only major difference is seating space which mostly to many doesn't matter that much especially in short duration flights.
7:41, when putting up narratives, please leave it on the screen a bit longer so viewers have time to read it. Also, was wondering if there was a first class on Singapore Airlines.
personally i don't care if my seat has a screen or not, i dont even care for power sockets. 90 percent of the time i work with my phone and i charge it with a powerbank. the real important things are direct isle access and large leg room for a good sleep
Would love to know what’s changed over the past 3-4 years, if the footrest is still in use as no recent videos for same plane and carrier have mentioned this and will be on this flight for 1 leg of my flight to Europe soon. Thanks
Just flew the non-stop flight from LAX to SIN by premium economy. In my opinion, the basic economy is much more comfortable and roomier than premium economy. Although premium offers amenities such as bottle storage, larger tray, personal light device, foot rest and reclining support, all this comes at a price -- less space and comfort. So next time i will fly basic economy or business (if I can afford that). IMHO, premium is just not worth it for me....
If your height is 1.7 meters or more, you will appreciate the extra legroom (about 4 inches more), and the passenger behind you is less likely to inconvenienced if you recline the seat.
Flew MUN-SIN then SIN-CHC in PE, would not use PE again, Tray table broken on both flights, leg rest broken on both flights, grumpy cabin crew TOLD me to put window shade down at 9pm at night, as "the sun will be coming in soon", we were flying in a South-East direction, I was on the West side of the aircraft, the sun was never coming in my window. I may however fly Business on SQ next year CHC-SIN-ZUR to see what it is like.
If you have points to redeem, better redeem business class. If you can only upgrade with cash, and your cash is limited, premium economy is still better - just my two cents.
Without a doubt first class is the best followed by business class, but most travelers will never be able to afford either one. When I fly I go with premium economy and from Newark to Singapore in an A350 long haul there is no economy class.
As a former station head of SIA, i can tell u that our flight attendants treat white people much better than the curries on India flights. The difference in treatment and service is startling
All that and we are left to determine our own preference there was I thinking we might get a tip. If the economy is x and premium is 2x and business 4x and this stays true for a price then clearly 2x must be the best cost to benefit ratio. Having been flying internationally for 45 years the economy section gets worse every year. What was economy 25 years ago is now premium and business is the new 1st class. If a flight is longer than 8-10 hours spend the extra and upgrade to PE trust me your body will thank you.
This wasn’t a Class comparison, just a seat comparison. And Premium is not just a bit more than economy, it’s at least 3.6 times more expensive than economy (at least here in Australia it is). Business class is only 3.9 times economy price. I know which one I’d prefer.
Indeed Premium Economy is such a non-sense class. Most of the time so overpriced. But many people like it, hence all airlines are increasing the amount of premium Economy seats on their planes. Anyway, thanks for watching!
People just like me with no money can't afford, of course I will pick economy. First class or business class what's the difference. The ticket price for these sits I can use it for something. Travel again n again.
Hello, Singapore Airlines provided various nice and tasty meals during the fly, which made me happy. Not like all others, just airline meals, tasteless. You did not mention it was a shame. 🤔
scoot has better premium economy...the only reason to travel premium economy are the twin seats.....cpou[;es and families better choose aisle seats in economy
Great video dude! Never seen someone filming inside an empty plane. I checked, james asquith's where he explain's why premium economy isn't worth it and thus I cancelled my plan to go in a premium economy. By the way, how did you get in? Do you work as Aeroplane Maintenance Engineer?
Thank you. In this case we were invited by Singapore Airlines to check out their A350 between its flights to film videos for our channel and Singapore Airlines‘ social media accounts.
I don’t agree with very much in this video at all. I have travelled on all 3 classes on the A350. In economy, when the seat in front is reclined, it almost hits you in the face. Completely claustrophobic. Premium economy is just a little more roomy, with same food & drink as economy. Only 2 days ago travelled business Singapore to Brisbane on a brand new aircraft. I think the seats are terrible design and extremely claustrophobic as well. Bed is terrible as area for your feet is on an angle. I had a window because I like to look out the window. The seat has a huge barrier which blocks the view & its only function is light switches. Once again claustrophobic. Most redeeming feature of Business is the noise cancelling headphones. The most value in business is access to the lounges where you can shower, eat and have a drink. I would not recommend SIA to anyone. The most overrated airline in the world in my opinion. Qantas & ANZ for example have far better business beds. I give SIA a 5 out of 10.
I've flown Singapore Airlines long haul from Sydney, Australia to Europe (London, Munich and Zurich as destination) in both economy and premium economy and, apart from the differences featured in this video, premium economy is a better choice for a number of reasons including easier check-in and boarding, being able to choose meals using 'Book The Cook' before flying, noise cancelling headphones, better blanket and pillow and noticeably larger IFE screen. I think it's worth the extra and, getting early bird or expo specials, the difference in price can be make premium economy affordable.
leisou2008, depends on your budget. Singapore Airlines economy is still a very good product. One thing I didn't mention as a plus for Premium Economy is that the PE compartment has less seating and the people using PE tend to be older so the compartment is less busy and noisy. As I mentioned, waiting for an expo or sale can make a difference with the cost of Premium Economy. Personally, I 'd love to travel Business if money was no object but I can only dream.

I spent over 18 hours in Singapore premium economy, twice. Didnt mind was very comfortable and great food
about to do a similar flight. Was the food different from economy (thinking about upgrading)?
As a spotter, I'd take the standard economy window seat with a beautiful wingview :-))))))))
The Premium Eco and Business are in the front tho which means that a wingview with engine is only possible in one of these to classes
Right on time.
Video delivered as promised....
Nice video. Gave complete overview of cabins and very helpful in choosing the right cabin price for individual
Thanks! Glad, you've enjoyed it.
One thing to consider. From my quick survey premium isn't much more expensive than economy, usually a few hundred dollars, but business class is 6-10 times as much.
Comparing business class with premium economy is like comparing Harrods with 7-11. There is no comparison.

I feel that 2-4-2 in Premium Economy on the A350 is a bit of a squeeze. 2-3-2 would be ideal.
Yeah or 2-2-2 but yeah thats kinda because the wide body
Kinda not really nice but yeah-
Nope it needs to be 3-3-3 or 2-4-2
I've got Premium Economy seats booked with Singapore Airlines for January 2023 in A380, A350 and Boeing 777.
Looking forward to it.
