The Back to Front film captures Peter's triumphant performance at London's O2 recorded in October 2013 as part of his on-going Back to Front tour. The tour celebrates the album So, which is played live in it's entirety, but also features many of Peter's best loved songs (some in totally new acoustic arrangements) as well as previously unreleased and even unfinished material. Alongside Peter are long-time band mates Tony Levin and David Rhodes, as well as David Sancious and Manu Katche who made up the original So touring band of 1986 & 87.
The release is available as single disc DVD or Blu-ray, as well as Deluxe Edition in a choice of DVD or Blu-ray. The Deluxe Editions come with two CD audio version, the theatrical edit of the film, bonus material and a 60 page hardback photo book.

I feel your pain. You may never read this. Maybe you will. My son was 4 years old when his mom (my wife) died. Today he is 35 years. The beauty of pain is that your children even as adults will always have part of their father with them forever. . . . we will all leave this planet one day. Find peace and share with someone who has none. Take the pain and use it to help someone else heal during their suffering. It is the true gift that very few of us will ever know. God Bless you.

I am a 60 YO man who until recently never realized how beautiful this man is. Every song I listen to, takes me on a spiritual journey and has in in tears, feeling the pain that every living creature goes through in life. Peter Gabriel reminds us there is love to help us during our journey, and that's all I need to get me through mine.

Hanging around after one of Gabriel's Earls Court concerts in 1987, I found a backstage pass stuck to the bottom of one of my shoes. I took it and offered it to the security guys at the side of the stage, asking whether it would be possible for my girlfriend to come through too. "No, sorry, just you" was the reply, and with a gentle hand on my back I was encouraged through the gate. I walked nervously towards an open door behind the stage, went through it and headed for a marquee where I could see a great many people standing and talking. As I entered the marquee, I realised that I reckonised pretty much every face in there. So as not to stand out and risk being ejected, I headed for the most easily approached 'face' I could see - Nik Kershaw - and immediately started talking about Dave Gladden guitars, knowing he had one and was a fan. After about ten minutes, a commotion near the entrance alerted us to Gabriel walking in, holding his two daughters by the hand. Ignoring everyone (incl. the members of Queen, Elton John, David Puttnam, Daniel Lanois, Dave Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant...) he made sure Anna and Melanie were happy and sorted with a drink and something to eat, then turned and was immediately mobbed. I was struck by his modesty, his presence, of course his eyes, but also his lack of false bravado; he seemed to be a shy man. With so many people milling around him, I realised I was unlikely to get to talk with him, so I headed out of the marquee, out of the venue, and went to meet up with my friends. I have few regrets in my life, but not staying for a little while longer to talk to Gabriel is one of them. Followed him before this concert and with every project since. Unique artist who has made my life better simply for being around, even on the periphery of it.

When I was 19 I thought this was a great 80's movie soundtrack song and the lyrics were basic. When I became a father I realized it encapsulated perfectly how I felt for my daughter. It can mean so much to so many. What a song.

This is by far my favorite Peter Gabriel live performance of "In Your Eyes." It sounds great, the camera angles are perfect, and the lighting is stellar. Lights of SO many colors projecting rays in all directions, and collectively, One bright Source of light, like the night sky's brightest star, Sirius in Orion.

These are men in their 60-70's,we know nothing of their health, but compare them to themselves in their hay-day.

I love this song and this is the best version I have ever heard. Every piece is perfect... the thumping bass line, the drums, Daby Toure, Jennie Abrahamson, David Sancious and the rest all reached nirvana with this rendition. I've watched and listened many, many dozens of times over the years and I am mesmerized every time.

We played for the LG Arena audience in Birmingham before before the show and then saw the show itself. Unbelievable and a very emotional experience. Peter was still recovering from losing his voice but still managed to sound fantastic. A night I will never forget.
