    Thanks for the shout-out! Great video, and some compelling reflections on training intensity. Looking forward to following the future evolutions to your training strategy.

    A little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing. There is the risk of paralysis by analysis.

    Great video once again, love how much you trust and respect data. I'm starting my first Ironman 70.3 on sunday and I've used your videos to educate and motivate me along the way. Thanks alot

    interesting video and listened to the @blackcatsrun pod too which was a great listen. its good to challenge what we take as "gospel" because science and understanding is always moving on. I like all the data gathering as it builds a nice picture over time. looks like your training is going well, best of luck for any races that you have in the future. i'm in the uk and we are unfortunately transitioning into winter so i'll be watching your videos on the turbo very soon!

    The level of dedication to not only understand and trial such specific aspects of intensity training is so interesting. I can only assume you’ll learn a whole heap about the best methods of training in the future for you by investing this time in understanding now. Also super chuffed that the Earnshorts are seemingly reporting for duty once more! Love the content! :D

    Do you leave the garage door open a little bit to vent the fumes? Even when the car is off it’ll leak toxic fumes - worth leaving some ventilation if you don’t already

    Hi @Lachlan, i love to see your videos, they inspire me, mainly the cycling part. Any reason why you do your cycling always indoors? is it better than outside? where do you find the will to do so long rides indoor? is that small fan enough for you? Hugs from Mozambique.

    How much of your bike training is done indoor vs outdoor? Do you feel that the trainer has a good transfer to race day? Good job man!

      At the moment all indoors but I’ll be back outdoors again soon

    Regarding intensity control - is your experience that heart rate or power generally correlates better to your lactate measurements? I'm thinking of the fact that many factors such as fatigue levels and ambient temperature affects HR - but does it also affect lactate in similar patterns? I use both HR and power for both bike and run but tends to value HR higher for setting the upper limit of my intensity, especially for easy aerobic stuff.

      Why not just do a proper test in a lab??

    • @Livsglädjemusic
      @Livsglädjemusic Рік тому

      @@kahlis my impression is that lactate measurements fluctuate as much as HR do for a given effort, depending on a number of factors, otherwise what's the point of doing field lactate testing? An isolated lab test seems like a poor investment to me. If anything if get a lactate monitor like Lachlan, but I'm not willing to invest that much in those marginal gains, henve why I'm looking to learn from Lachlans experience 👍
