- In this video we will be demonstrating how to zero and take a measurement using the The HI782 Marine Nitrate High Range Checker.The HI782 is perfect for measuring Nitrate levels in saltwater aquariums and marine environmental testing.

It looks like the guy in this video didn't fill the cuvette to the line correctly. Darn hand models lol

I guess as long as you consistently fill it to the same mark it's better than being accurate.

thats exactly what i tought. When i use the phosphate ulr test i always allign the bottom of the curve to the line, meaning that the top of the water "arch" is above the line. now i dont know if im doing it right

Hanna should be giving reefers a discount if they bought the first one. They didn't even hint at this new one so people could make an informed decision. It's really slight of them.

Jeżeli dobrze pamiętam aby prawidłowo odmierzyć konkretną ilość płynu należy uzupełnić menzurkę do odpowiedniego poziomu uwzględniając menisk dolny płynu. W mojej ocenie na filmie w fiolce jest inna objętość wody niż 10 ml co oczywiście prowadzi do błędnego wyniku.

This Checker is designed for saltwater aquarium use. We do have an awesome GroLine collection if you are looking to test anything grown in the ground, aquaponic, or hydroponic environments!
in aquaculture, we need the ultra low range. perhaps, without reagent.
@hanna instruments, can this also be used for nitrate freshwater aquariums?
Ummm, no, this is the one for marine, ie.. saltwater. They do have one for freshwater though.
My HR checker keeps reading flashing 75 which means out of range. Checked on API looks like zero to 20. Something is off. Does it mean my nitrates are too low for the HR Checker? Confused
Api is not very reliable/accurate I’ve found anyway.
Pretty sure that means your nitrates are very high

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY DOESNT HANNA PUT A SMALL BEEPER IN THEIR CHECKERS?? I mean come on, reefers multitask a ton and while we wait on one result we are running another test. We often miss the very silent read out. Now this one is 7 mins. That's even more time to let your mind slip and miss the result. Come on Hanna, if you're here for us, then listen to us. Don't even get me started on the lack of a backlight.😒
