Holy fuck. I'm in love with this band.
This song, is the definition of perfect. The lyrics cut to the core and caress it with beauty and grace while also triggering it with sadness and pain. My favourite Garbage song.
So ethereal. I always go to a comfortable zone when I listen to them.
She's the coolest thing EVER!! LOVE Shirley!!! The band is always like on point. Everything you are hearing in the background is quality!!! Her vocals are perfection and go SOOOO well with the music.
Personally I think this Garbage's best ever song, it's superb one one of the very first albums I liked when I started getting into music.

Brave Strong as Steel Shirley puts it out there for all to feel. Most of the world speaks in code or not a t all but Shirley she lays it on the line every song always.... that's what makes her great and what makes us fans gravitate to her like magnetized zombies..... must be a Stroke of Luck!

The first time I ever heard this song was on the TV show Charmed season 1
and me totally brilliant...its amazing that some music that u come back to u realise its sheer quality and things u have never noticied before in the lyrics...perhaps in my case things have happpened that i can now relate to in certain tracks.

Regarding the top comment (about not getting the recognition they deserve): Um, I thought they had plenty of recognition, after all they did sell MILLIONS of albums! Yeh, I'd say they were very successful, just not 'megastars' as such. Mind you, I thought exactly that about Skunk Anansie (whose rise to fame was around the same time). Then I learned later that Skunk Anansie did very well for themselves too! Sold millions of records too! PS My personal Garbage fave is My Lovers' Box =OD

Curve did this first, and better! I ain't hating on Garbage by any means, I'm just throwing out my opinion. And yes, I know they're like assholes...opinions that is ;)
I love Garbage so much, but the lyric quality (for me) has declined rapidly through the years. The first album is so strong, but BLM (with exceptions) is pretty poor.
