A few years ago, my family and I took a trip to Disney World. During the car ride there, I would obsessively listen to this song on my MP3 player. Nowadays, whenever I listen to this song, it brings back memories of my trip to Disney World.
You should see the look on people's faces when I tell them that this song reminds me of Disney.
Well, that's much more interesting than my story about how Wolfchant's A Pagan Storm reminds me of Hawaii.

Kalmah is the best melodic death metal band which have their own unique style since beginning, i wonder how swamp theme can be so romantic and attractive. Since i heard Swamphell i can not stop listening this beautiful band. Every song on every album is amazing. Kalmah for years, Kalmah forever!

There is alot of melody here, but i class this band as just sheer, raw death metal. Right there with Amon Amarth and the like.

The name of the song is Seventh Swamphony. I wouldn't be surprised if that's suppose to be a reference to Beethoven 7th Symphony. It also would explain the neoclassical feeling.
Yeah, you can tell the Finns have a soft spot for Randy Rhoads and neoclassical metal. It's part of the reason, (the other being the resurgence in Finnish hockey) that Finland is this Americans favorite country.
This song deserves to be cherished and revered. Kalmah is the paradigm of an awe-inspiring melodic death metal band.

That's a tough question but I'd probably go with Kalmah. They're touring Canada in April and I'll be driving to Toronto from Ohio to see them...

it will be the first tour they ever do in Canada I believe. And looking back I also see they've never toured the US. I think they've picked up steam with the last two records. They just did some sold out shows in Japan.

Kalmah's music videos are awesome, they're so much more than the typical video set to a song, the video actually goes along with the music - it speeds up when a fast riff comes along and slows down when there's a less aggressive part. The video adds to the music, which is how it should be.

I remember when i first discovered Kalmah, it was just when they released this album back in 2013. I was 14 at the time. Such a great title track!

Back in the day when I used to use Limewire/Frostwire, is how I found them, The Black Dahlia Murder's cover of Paint It Black was what introduced me into Melodeath (or heavier genre's in general)
I remember how I found these guys. I was in an AOL instant messanger chat room and I was talking about how much I liked Children of Bodom, and some random stranger told me to look up Kalmah and Norther. So, I downloaded some songs from limewire and never looked back.

Insomnium, Be'lakor, Stormlord, Wintersun, Dissection, and kalmah are my favourites. There are so many good metal bands these days though, but a lot more that I'm not really into. Half the fun is just listening to everything until you find something that blows your mind.
