Kalmah is so damn awesome. They make amazing music and show they have fun doing it. It's refreshing to see a music video that doesn't take itself too seriously; it's a nice contrast to the song which slays. The rifle solo was fantastic.
It's been 5 years since I listened to a Kalmah song. Now that I hear this for the first time, I can't help but wonder, why did I stop listening to Kalmah in the first place? This is fucking awesome!
Kalmah is one of the most underatted bands. Their music is just awesome and they sould be more appriciated and i really hope Spinefarm would understand how much we all love them and that COB and Norther are not even close to be as awesome as Kalmah.
For everyone who says that this album isn´t as melodic as the ones they did before, have not paid any attention to their music. This album is just as melodic as the ones before. Personally this is their best album.
Anyone who doesn't purchase this album is a fool. The video is fresh, hilarious, and original. The song is absolutely fantastic. Also, the rifle-solo is the greatest thing I've seen in Music-Video history. Bravo, guys! Another masterpiece!
"I really hope Spinefarm reads these comments", and understand how much we (the fans) love Kalmah, and how good they actually are.-Forget Bodom SEND KALMAH ON A WORLD TOUR! they deserve it !
Omg, i've always seen Children of Bodom as the only band of this genre i liked... wtf, i have never been so wrong. These guys are plain awesome! They have a new fan for sure!
@@xh7385 I have to agree. Nothing really against them but I was listening to Kalmah and Insomnium and In Flames at a young age and then COB just sounded mediocre in comparison, and like 14 years later I would still say they are pretty mediocre in terms of Melodic Death
TboneZ5...Are you serious, this band hasn't let up in the least...they've released some incredible records...you need to listen multiple times..you'll start to hear it...have you heard 12 gauge...awesome!
oh so you didnt heard every song till end i guess, Every album has its own atmosphere and emotions. For me its the specially fact about kalmah that every album is other sounding, unique in its way.
Grrrrrr! I love this. There's something really fun about guys just acting like a bunch of growling, goofy, kick ass, drinking, balls to the wall brainless barbarians, and this is coming from a fairly sane woman. It's like watching a nature special about buffalo. LOVE Kalmah.
I've explained it already :) The hunter is just a hunter, common finno-ugric theme and settings. This copes with Kalmah's overall policy. Just dual structure of song.He (hunter )does not hallucinate at the end: the swamp spirit takes his weapon (note: the spirit of the swamp is mostly helpful to humans as is the spirit of the forest, but rarely the spirit of the water. In fact, they are often at odds with each other) because he aimed it on him. The spirit takes the hunter's weapon.
How good the video is depends on how you look at it. If you think it's a serious attempt, it's not that great. If you don't, it looks like they were having a great time and playing awesome music while not taking themselves too seriously. I fall in with the latter.
EVERYONE should go out and purchase this album RIGHT NOW! The video is fresh, hilarious, and original; the song is absolutely fantastic; the album is definitely another top-notch release. Also, the rifle-solo is the greatest thing I've seen in Music-Video history.
As much as their fans put down this album in comparison to others in the lineup, it's still got some of my most favorite tracks from all of their work. This one, Hook the Monster, and Man of the King from the BW album, I can listen to those three on a loop all day.
Take medication for depression. It doesn't help, so the doctor prescribes more. Still doesn't help, so he decides suicide is the only solution (with a 12 gauge shotgun).
Also from Canada, Seen Kalmah in Montreal it was awesome, Pekka was getting mad at his amp It kept screwing up lol, but someone finally brought him a new one.
I want some of what their having. Seems to be working. Although here in Denmark, finish vodka is just called tap water. In Sweden its just to complicated to buy a simple bottle of booze, and in Norway it's just to ridiculously expensive. So I guess the video was recorded somewhere near my home. ^^ Great album as usual by the way. Proud owner of all their albums!
oh Marco Sneck...i remember how i loved this line-up... I was a big fan of Kalmah, I remember I was waiting for this album like every singleday... Well things changed a lot...
"What kind of instrument do you play?"

All the years i've listened to metal, I think Pekka's vocals are still among the best i've heard.
Me too
Easily. I still prefer the higher shreiks on the first 3 albums but he can do it all.
i read this comment like almost 10 years ago and here I return
Best shotgun solo ever!
Probably one of the best melodic death bands on this planet.
Arguably the best ever, but that is a tough one to argue lol

Definitely the best melodic death metal band!
And that is how a party goes in the North!

This is why you don't take shroom tea while hunting.
Finally, someone is using his shotgun carefully!
Holy shit it feels good to come hear this again after all those years
Nice Shotgun Solo!

These guys have always been the kings of melodeath in my book. Ever since Swamplord.
0:39 one of the best metal solo ever !
Indeed
One day kalmah will repay my years of being a loyal fan by releasing an actual thought out video. One day....
from the 2020, you are still unbeatable!

YESS!! I get to see these guys in like 3 months and share a stage with them SICK!
This is the best video I have ever seen!
It felt so good to be in Tuska Open Air 2013 watching Kreator when Miland said: "It's good to be in Finland - the home of Metal!"
Hell yeah, COB , now Kalmah, im with a urge to go to Finland
This SOLO is absolutely amazing! My favourite!!
The outro is astounding. So foreboding and powerful.

Haha great video! The soundtake of their albums is so much more powerful since The Black Waltz.... the choirs are great!
This is awesome. Haven't listened to these guys since black waltz!

Playing guitar solo on shotgun :D it can't get more awesome than that!
I'm not gonna argue about anything, just gonna say: I love the new album.
Kalmah will be at 5 min from my house in March during the Canadian tour !!!!!!! Can't wait to see them! Holly Crap!!!
i realy love this video! Beautiful winter!
Absolutely agree, hope I will go in Finland one day
I love this song I couldnt stop headbanging, especially when the solo came in.. Love this new CD!!!
Amazing music, the only thing i have to say is that i lay down my soul to the metal music, the music that make me feel alive.
Kalmah is the only band which stuck to its roots and basics.
Ohh gran power KALMAR 🤘🏻😈

Kalmah is gonna blow our minds one day!! Hail Kalmah!!
This is the only band that would make me buy an album. I'LL BUY ANYTHING THAT CONTAINS THE WORD KALMAH. /m/
these guys rocks xD epic song and clip, KALMAH FTW!!!!!!!
What they lack in basic gun safety, they more than make up for in ability to fuckin' rock.
It was probably secured and empty. Oh wait, they're Finns... Okay, I'll take it back^^
Chances are it was filmed on a cell phone camera when they where playing around drunk. Knowing Finns...
+Birki gts As an Finn, i can confirm. PS: More quality Finnish goofing around by Korpiklaani, check it out if you haven't already

so THATS the source of kalmahs awesomeness
At first i laughed but now i like the video. I've watched it about 5 times already. I like Pekkas singing.
Haha, Kalmah makes me insane :D I like it! Keep rockin'!
this wil be the best melodeath album of the year

"Meanwhile, in Finland.."
That moment when the video is funny as hell but the story they are trying to portray is disturbing as hell.
+Agaga Gagag I think it's supposed to have a deliberately tongue-in-cheek feel to it ;)

Video is meant to be funny, lyrics are meant to be serious. Just like Immortal.
Funny video, haha! Love bands with a sense of humor!
I hate when we get that much snow though....
just discovered this band....love it
Doing this in Finland is on my bucket list
This is one of the few videos in the world that is cool and funny at the same time LOL
