Cape Cod Canal Striper Fishing: Working the jig!

Late May 2024 fishing with my buddy Joe. We crossed the bridge to the mainland side of the Canal to start and we found ourselves on a solid jig bite early in the morning! The fish were mostly small with some up to the slot and one over slot. After a couple of skunks, this was a welcome change of pace. Later in the day we crossed back to the Cape side and Joe hooked in with a solid slot fish that put up an epic fish tin the current. A hard-earned tackle rescue caps off my final May 2024 fishing video!

Thanks for watching!! For the braid, I use 65lb test FINS line on my primary Canal setups. I only use 30lb on my 9’ setup which is primarily for back bays and the very early season at the Canal. 🎣🐟🐟
