Many people started believing UFC fights are rigged because of that fight.. Hugely damaging to the sport to hear allegations like that.
He might have cost the UFC like.. 10-30 million purely out of people not believing UFC is real anymore and for that reason not buying tickets/following the sport. I don't know if I can say that about literally any other fighter in the UFC. So.. That's definitely a huge huge fail for Ciryl.

I do respect Cyril he is humble and I think he really has a future in MMA, however every time a french " journalist" ask a question, as an hardcore MMA french fan, I mean from UFC 5 I feel so ashamed. Asking wrong questions with a broken english...French journalists are so full of themselves.
France used to be (this is changing as we speak) a great colonial power just like England. Due to dynamic world events (things nobody could have predicted) English came to be the trade language of the world. There was battle between France and England for cultural relevance and political power. Because of this cultural/political battle taking place over the last 400 years or so, asking the French to speak perfect English is like asking an African slave to speak perfect English, because in both cases it is an admission of defeat.
Kind of agree with you in some points though, I do not think the language barrier is the main problem, there is a real identity problem in France struggling between progresism and false patriotism any way. Take care
