Never has their been a vocalist like Ed whom has taken care of his voice. Actually he's about twice as skilled in the vocal department then he was 20 years ago.,,and his voice was already legendary back then.
It pains me to watch this without Chad, Patrick and Chad...Live will always be four guys from York to me... Ed is gifted, but it was the band that lifted us...

Ed you should have done this with the band my friend. Great gig anyway, always with an orchestra part of it. But you should have done this with the band ;) I miss ya guys.....
OK. Just been watching this Pinkpop concert in the Netherlands and it just seems like the crowd doesn't know whats going on like they have never heard I Alone before or they have not heard of LIVE before or Ed. However I've never been to Holland before so maybe that's how they roll in Dutchland looking kinda stiff. I saw one lady shimmy to I Alone. You take that same pink pop concert with Ed and put it in Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA the American crowd would go nuts. One can also see Ed being a Lil cautious at first with movements then he opens up a lot while singing I Alone. It's such a powerful tune it's hard to watch a crowd of that size not get into it. At the same time Ed didn't sing it in Dutch. Again I have not been to the Netherlands so I have no idea how it goes there.
The place was full with fans for the Rolling Stones ( who would play 7 hours later). It was just a handfull of people who know Ed. A friend ad me are in the front for Ed, it was a strange feeling that day
MyrMidon When I lived in NL from 1993-2003, the Dutch could not get enough of +LIVE+ or Ed Kowalczyk. Things must have changed in so short a time; I am certain that crowd knew all the words to this album, but Ed appears to have become himself quite stiff. This performance lacks all the energy, the crackling electric spiritual mainline that always accompanied their shows.
***** Hahahaha... I think all of the current members of Live have 'Karma' issues. Have you heard their latest offering? Absolute junk. Not that the last 3 or so Live albums haven't been, just that this one seems to be clutching at straws, trying to rekindle their old sound, rather than realising that in actual fact, they can't manufacture that sound anymore... Too much water has passed under the Live bridge, and there just is not enough angst left in them. Ed's new album is also rubbish - the fact is, Live worked with all the original members... This 'going it alone' nonsense has, in fact cost both Ed and Live their reputations as decent musicians with a passion for writing songs that are actually meaningful.
Graham McLaren LIVE's newest Album with Chris Shinn is their best album since The Distance to Here and Chris Shinn is an incredible singer, with 30 years of Music to prove it.
The audience came for The Rolling Stones and not for Ed Kowalczyk/Live songs. They watch the concert ,like a lot of zombies. That's pity, because it is a good concert from a an older Ed Kowalczyk.
My only criticism is that I don't think the musicians did Throwing Copper justice. They had 2 electric guitarists but didn't create a heavier sound and the snare drum sound didn't live up to Chad Gracey's drums on record.
it's a pity you're not with LIVE :( you are the best singer and LIVE it's the best band when are not together u are not the best... I thought we would have twice the music but now I see that was wrong because both play the same songs and nothing new
Ed sounds great, as usual. But, I think this full orchestra doesn't really work. He's obviously really pushing the old live songs, and it's starting to get old. Hey Ed, you left the band, so sure throw in a few "oldies" but get on with your life.
rustyjay1 Well, his old band did the same for a while only playing old songs with a new Singer for like 3 years before they released new work in 2014. Ed has released 3 albums on his own already, the last album is very very good, best stuff he has done since throwing copper i think. (The Flood and The Mercy). This is a special 20th anniversary of throwing copper tour he is doing before releasing another album he has on tap.
+Undercover Rat Yeah. On second thought, while it'd be nice to hear the whole band behind Ed, the orchestra is good enough, and he's such a great vocalist....I change my mind, I'm glad he did it.
Loved Live. Played their music at my husbands' funeral 14 years ago. He died very young.
In my opinion, one of the greatest voices ever!
Yes 💕
Never has their been a vocalist like Ed whom has taken care of his voice. Actually he's about twice as skilled in the vocal department then he was 20 years ago.,,and his voice was already legendary back then.
2019 - 26 years later...and I still Rock to these tunes! Ed - The last American poet!
It pains me to watch this without Chad, Patrick and Chad...Live will always be four guys from York to me... Ed is gifted, but it was the band that lifted us...
You are about to get your wish ..... 2017 is the year LIVE returns. ALL four original members.

One of the best rock albums ever recorded
legendary...the beginning is incredible.
Rare to see him sing Dam at Otter Creek.
Brilliant voice !!
ED IS LIVE..... PERIOD....
wow, awesome version of Throwing Copper with the orchestra! Loved it. But I still miss Ed and Live together. Neither are the same without each other.
Lendária... o começo é incrível Raro vê-lo cantar Dam em Otter Creek
Canta demais mesmo! desde 1994 que eu acompanho ele e a banda Live!!!!
The great Ed Kowalczyk!
Ed Kowalczyk incredible as always.
love the orchestra
beautfull
Ed, is still the man!
Excelente Ed Kowalczyk. Este álbum es una obra maestra. Felicidades! Saludos desde Guatemala, Centro America.
Awesome. Hate to say it but Live are nothing without Ed. Too bad it ended the way it did with the band. They were one of my all time favorites.
What an awesome upload! Glad to see him looking and sounding so well...
I'd love to be there germany?❤😢
Ed you should have done this with the band my friend. Great gig anyway, always with an orchestra part of it. But you should have done this with the band ;) I miss ya guys.....
Amo com todas as forças
Zak Loy; what a Guitar Player!!
luv you ty for the upload thats just awesome
Thanks for uploading this, love a bit of Ed.
funny idea to put a huge orchestra behind a singer like ed, who has the voice, charisma and energy to do a show on his own...
Awesome!

Yeah it looked like the crowd was waiting for another band.
Andy Gillis I was there that day and I had never heard of Live or Ed. What a fool I've been.

Yeah. That could be the deal with Ed now. His shows sell out all over the world. He needs to get back letting it all out.
agree... the band (Live) can try. Won't work. Ed sounds great and had the energy the band brought
55:07 Arnon Grunberg plays a cello.
that's a violin hahaha
What the heck is the annoying ticking sound during Lightning Crashes?!?!
Amazing that Ed, even though he has been kicked to the curb by Live, can still draw bigger crowds than that band that calls themselves 'Live'.
***** Hahahaha... I think all of the current members of Live have 'Karma' issues. Have you heard their latest offering? Absolute junk. ***** Yep, I personally feel Live are for the better now that he's gone.
Graham McLaren LIVE's newest Album with Chris Shinn is their best album since The Distance to Here and Chris Shinn is an incredible singer, with 30 years of Music to prove it.
+elvis mccartney Yeah he's got a lot of good karma coming, what with all of the love he's put into his music....
The audience came for The Rolling Stones and not for Ed Kowalczyk/Live songs. They watch the concert ,like a lot of zombies. That's pity, because it is a good concert from a an older Ed Kowalczyk.
My favorite band of all time but did not have the intensity that Ed usually brings to concerts, Chad, Chad and Patrick are needed.
One can over analyze the situation here like I did and remember not everyone or nation view art and music the same way.
No one cares about solo Ed and no one cares about Live without him.
to be fair.....it's hard to wake up a crowd that's there to see the Stone's LOL Same performance in America Alone would have generated much more heat
My only criticism is that I don't think the musicians did Throwing Copper justice. They had 2 electric guitarists but didn't create a heavier sound and the snare drum sound didn't live up to Chad Gracey's drums on record.
where is live from?
wes H The band is originally from York, PA in the USA.
Appaloosa and The Palomino
Theo & Mario v/a 26 min met zakdoek
it's a pity you're not with LIVE :( you are the best singer and LIVE it's the best band when are not together u are not the best...
I thought we would have twice the music but now I see that was wrong because both play the same songs and nothing new
Great Concept, but not the same without the boys. Wouldn't of done this at a festival concert setting and John popper on guitar lol
Money is the cause of 99.99999 percent of the worlds problems. The band breaking up was just another example.
57:44 Greta Thunberg?

+rustyjay1 I alone really worked
+Undercover Rat Yeah. On second thought, while it'd be nice to hear the whole band behind Ed, the orchestra is good enough, and he's such a great vocalist....I change my mind, I'm glad he did it.
Why is someone playing bongos in this performance? Please make him stop!
seriously...just filling up every bit of empty space with bongo rolls.
without LIVE...you are nothing Ed..i miss you and the band, not like this
His got the biggest fucking ego and I'm glad they continued with Chris Shinn. Ed sucks......from great to crap like it was nothing. Oh well.
Some of the audience members have earplugs for God's sake. Poor Ed having to sing to these limpids. Great set it was too.
I hope this was a joke.
too much going on and a bad mix
i miss these guys. ed had a kid n flipped out n saw god or something, then the band went limp n fell off the earth.
