I got the dash personal donut maker. I use pancake batter with 1/4 C sugar added to make my own cake donuts. They turn out great and way cheaper than going the bakery, which has become crazy expensive.
@hockeymomWA directions booklets are as thick as a dictionary, and when you have a table of contents on the operation in every language known to man, I'll just take a chance 😉🤣😎
@tammybitney6852 I don't. Most instructions are in Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Latin American, Portuguese, and some Brazilian 🤣. English is mixed in there somewhere, and I just don't have time to look 😉🤣😎
I always start out cooking sausage links in a little oil on low heat, using low and slow cooking and roll them around so they get a nice even browning all over and no burnt spots, and then add a little water to deglaze the pan and get all of the flavor and cook through until the water is cooked out of the pan. Another helpful hint is, whenever I cook bacon or sausage, I cook the whole package at once and then freeze or refrigerate the rest, then you just have to heat it when ready to use, instead of making a greasy mess and using more gas or electricity each time. I will take a frozen package of bacon out of the freezer and put it on a parchment paper covered sheet pan and put it in the oven on 300 degrees (no need to preheat the oven either.) As it slowly thaws in the oven, then you can separate it. Drain excess grease with paper towels and wrap individual portion sizes in plastic wrap and freeze in a ziplock bag or tupperware container. It saves time, messes, gas etc.
That waffle/chaffle device is a cool idea! Agree some butter so it doesn’t stick and cook longer should work. Maybe place a paper plate under the unit so any mess is caught until you perfect this new technique. Enjoy ST! 😊
I make chaffles often. I don’t spray mine. I will buy a block of cheddar cheese and shred it. Sprinkle some cheese on the bottom, pour the egg mixture in, then sprinkle some cheese on top. Cook until the light turns off. They pop out easy for me.
@ I always make spray the last option. You’ve got to figure, if they took a healthy oil like EVOO and manufactured and industrialized it to the point that it fits into a spray can, there’s no way to know what all is in that can. if you take good quality olive oil and brush it on the waffle iron, that would be a much safer option. I prefer butter because one, I’m a carnivore and two, because it tastes amazing.😎
😂 I always tell my wife they put instructions in there for a reason. You should've lightly wiped down the inside with a wet paper towel before using. Then you wouldn't be breathing in those chemicals as it heats up. You also needed to lightly oil or use butter prior to putting the egg in.... at least till it becomes more seasoned. And of course, use a small amount of the egg mixture because it's going to be compressed. And those sausages.... after you put the water in cover then periodically to cook them. You can then take the cover off near the end to scald them the way you like. Another funny coooking video. Keep em coming!
@angelmission I paid $11.50 just a couple days ago! I about fainted when I checked the price! Hoping the avian flu goes away soon & the prices come back down to earth.🐔🥚🐔
Please Tim... remember to turn the stove off ❤ cover the sausages next time you cook them with the water😊 I have a waffle maker and will try that method- Thanks
I’m with you clowns. Cook more than you need and have ready to eat food in the fridge so you don’t have to go through the whole process each time. I never cooked part of a package of bacon.
So excited you’re making your first Chaffle this morning. Couple additional tips. You over filled that waffle iron and that’s why it made a mess lol This is why that recipe was intended for two not one big one. Secondly you can melt some butter in the microwave and brush on a light coat to both the top and bottom of the waffle iron. This will keep your chaffle from sticking in the future. A good idea is to put a small plate underneath the waffle iron just to handle overflows. I’m glad you tried it out though and please don’t give up because Changing a few things will make them perfect each time. And if you read the instructions, it says they are done when the steam stops. For the most part that is true unless you like them cooked a little more and then you can leave them in longer. It is very hard to burn them if you follow the instructions. That looked like a delicious breakfast and I’m glad you were crushing it! Reach out if you want any other tips. Looking forward to another amazing day! Yes, Chaffle rhymes with Waffle 😊
Yikes, you have to spray some “Pam” on the waffle iron and don’t over fill the waffle iron. And wait till steam goes away to open lid. But first time for everything. But great try. Keep crushing it Tim!
Tim, I just love your videos! I had to laugh when you couldn't get that waffle out! Getting ready to fix me some breakfast!
Burnt sausage dust 😂😂😂
Had same mess my first time with the Chaffle maker🤣. Great video, was funny but informative! I would use less cheese & put cooking spray on.

You’re right Tim. It is a great day to be alive. Even here in freezing Indiana. lol😂 0 degree wind chill today.

Don’t whisk eggs. Whipping them with a fork puts air in them and they will be fluffier.
I make blueberry waffles, and I spray my waffle maker first and allow it to get hot first. I hope you have a wonderful day.
You should know you should always grease the bottom!! Lol...
Yes! 👍😎
@@bryanblack7828 a buttered waffle iron is a happy waffle iron!
Tim, I use Avocado spray on mine and it works perfect for me.
We don't read instructions here folks!

Try frying up some mushrooms and onions with a little garlic, then dump your eggs in with that, makes a very tasty scrambled egg.
Why don't eggs tell jokes? …They'd crack up.

I like it and will do the same. 👍😎
Probably should have covered the sausage links, as they cook. 🍖 🥓 🥩
You’re right 👍😎
Eggs were overcooked, halfway through you need to take them off heat

Paper plate absolutely! 👍 😎
Could use a little cooking spray too
@@hockeymomWA butter much healthier than that factory industrial lubricant in a can 🤣
That's exactly why eggs should be put in a bowl first. Nothing worse than eggshell in food.

I use melted butter and brush the waffle surfaces before each waffle. Never sticks and no poison from a spray can!☺️
