For a Ford Mach-E for example you have to pay somewhere between 60 and 70.000 EURO. Which middle class family can afford it? You could buy a nice little condominium for that kind of money about 7 or 8 years ago. The idea that you need to drop between 70 and 100,000 bucks for a pickup truck is beyond stupid. That's more than a Year's pay at the lower end for most people. In 1956, my father made $10,000 a year, and a new car cost $2,200 bucks. His first house cost $14,500 bucks. The comparative cost of vehicles and homes nowadays is way more expensive in terms of how much longer it takes to earn the money to buy these necessities. You need to have more outrage about the prices of new vehicles.

In Europe, you need the same drivers' license for this as for a full-on commercial heavy truck. Anything above a total vehicle weight (including cargo and passengers) of 3500 kg or 7700 pounds is a heavy truck and if you want to tow, you need the same full heavy truck and trailer drivers' license as you'd need for a full on 60 ton truck and trailer combo.

@@BCNeil exactly. I am all for EV in Cars but trucks still makes ZERO sense to me at that price!! And yes I understand the whole home charging thing , but trucks are meant for long haul and road trips so I bet supercharging will be 80% of the trucks life.
@@MikeWolff1 You think 80% of the time you'd be driving 800+ miles?
@@drunkenhobo8020 what gets 800 miles??? This Truck might do 400 and under a load I bet that gets cut in half!!!
@@MikeWolff1 Yeah but the first 400 miles you'd have used electricity from home at a much, much cheaper rate. It would only be if you're going another 400 miles it would cost the $165.
April, picture dictionary of sin, Lord have mercy... Subbed, and always a thumbs up!
Today I learned the Avalanche has a fold down seat to extend the bed.
That's basically why it existed
I had a WT trim for a rental a few weeks ago. It wasn't bad at all. Drove it all weekend on one charge and it was the quickest rental I've had.
She is beautiful ( not talking about April I'm talking about the truck) well April is ok too 😉 that truck is so awesome 🤘👍
Both a better buy used in 5 years when its broken in looking for a new owner…
In Europe, you need the same drivers' license for this as for a full-on commercial heavy truck. Anything above a total vehicle weight (including cargo and passengers) of 3500 kg or 7700 pounds is a heavy truck and if you want to tow, you need the same full heavy truck and trailer drivers' license as you'd need for a full on 60 ton truck and trailer combo.
You’ll are doing the pee-pee dance about how excited you are but what about the real world. You don’t talk about real world tow range or that you have to unhook your trailer to charge it at your public charger. Not everyone has access to a charger in their backyard . And the weight OMG(9000lbs?)and the price. Can’t get excited about the EVs .
And one look at the under body would make me never want to off road ever in the slightest, and be incredibly afraid of straddling debris on the road while driving.
April loved the truck so much, she was stuck to that leather seat! 😂
The ramcharger is the only new ev/hybrid truck I’d consider at this point since I tow race car and dirt bike trailers around. My Hemi has been great and while I would love a diesel they have just become too complex and expensive.
those things are junk
@@777poco They aren't being released until 2025 so I'm not sure how you determined that already. They have a super reliable and proven V6, can tow 14K, great fuel economy, and can be a generator/power source when camping. If your saying Dodge/Ram sucks I've put 400k on two different models over the past 24 years with no major problems or a single breakdown when towing the east coast.
I aint buying anything Stellantis. Oh hell no!!!
@@curtismansell5254Yeah, Stellantis is a mess right now for sure but the ramcharger concept is solid. Excited to see how it actually tows long distance.
Glad that Hoovie has April reviewing the nice cars. Parallels with Supercar Blondie, wouldn't want April to become Hooptie Blondie
Keep up the good work ! Great to see April having a meaningful part of the videos and there's a genuine dialogue between you two.
Terrible economy where no one has money and you can’t get loans; and these companies keep releasing the most expensive version first. That makes sense /s
Speak for yourself. I just bought a second car and going to be buying a second home this year.
Someone has money, it's just not us.
@@charlesbortz5524No one as the masses. I have money too. Doesn’t mean this will have much of a market. Look at its competition. They’re all sucking it up sales wise.
Will be interesting to see whether Stelantis survives.
The only ones that will clearly survive are the ones who can *already* make affordable EVs.
Which… is mostly just Tesla and several Chinese companies.
China became the world’s largest auto exporter alarmingly fast.
Love the old weather man dance they both do..Very cornie..Love your TOSH O Channel .
It's not a cigarette lighter, it's a 12v accessory outlet.
Wow , what a home run for Chevy. Stunning truck and I’m not even into trucks.
Nope, as nice as it is.
Wow, the new Chevrolet Ridgline EV really LOOKS AMAZING!
Yea, Chevy won the special Olympics.
😂
How’s the inferior music listening experience in the noisy ICE car treating you
I am thrilled that they have the mid-gate from the Avalanche. I loved my two Avalanche's
Holy crap Hoovie...just, Holy crap you da man .
Ok, I'll bite this electric fish. It's actually very trucky, much better than that Pathetic Polygon Tesla. Way to Go GM.! But, Please drop the price at least by 25K and keep it fully loaded
Just look at ColdFusion's newest video on how new cars are spying on you. I bet you won't bite, but I bet you'll be surprised at how many companies are doing this. If this was a Nissan, it'll even track when you are having sex in the car.
Nothing better than a strategically placed microphone
“April’s Garage” is chilling to listen to!!! Be careful Hoovie…
If April was my driver, I would give her a $1000 tip for a better driving experience... This truck is made for her... =)
These videos are so much better when April starts them....LOL
I have never owned a GM product. This Silverado EV? If I could afford it, I'd certainly consider it.
April - “If was any smaller I would not give it a double take”. LOL
"Not alot to look at on these electric vehicles..." well, April is there 😂😅😊😅😊
Not a lot of moving parts to fix either.
Will be interesting when data are in about how much less expensive to upkeep EVs are as they age.
The noises he make when a truck turns him on, is like the noises he makes when April turns him on? Decisions, decisions, decisions.
How many times or different forms of rejection do we need to give these automakers. Nobody is asking for this product.
I agree. April can be as enthusiastic as she wants, EV's are garbage and most people realize it. That's why demand has fallen through the floor.
Well, the govs. of the world are trying to force EVs around, so they have to make them. Wouldn't want to get caught with no EVs or no EV tech when all the govs. of the world go: Nope, no more ICE cars.
But the government said we need it.
@@IraqVet0608 I did the same type of comment previously to answer to this comment and it was deleted... lol
@@chassegallerie2910well if we all unite together, maybe they will get the point!
Finally, Hoovie gets smitten over an EV. I’ve been waiting for this day.
I see recall coming.
You mean RECALLS as in multiple 😅
Hoovie is the type of guy to get over excited a single plastic knob that operates the 10ft bed than over a F40 and I’m here for it
I thought the "CyberTruck Killer" was a functioning set of eyes...
Awesome channel!
Gee, it's like rating the best pile of , well , you know. Does that mean it stinks less or more?
Tyler so excited he started turning into Doc Brown, love it lol .
They could call it E-valanche
This is a great looking truck, nice wheels too.
Another urban mall crawler worth 50 percent of its original price after two years.
It's a freaking pickup truck, not the best form factor for off-roading. On road is where this form of vehicle belongs.
@@Neojhunit’s not really a pickup it’s a suv with a small bed. Like most of these over sized beasts gas or ev they are not nearly as useful as the last 3500 I owned from the 90s unless driving the kids to school is the point.
@@chuckdavis8440 "with a small bed." With the pass through folded down the bed is over 9 NINE FEET!!! Why are you bunch soo ignorant.
@@chuckdavis8440 "over sized beasts gas or ev" Cybertruck is not that big and doesn't Weigh much. Yes it has many other flaws but weight and foot print size is not the problem. Your 3500 would dwarf a Cybertruck.
Great camera angles Jake 😎
Jake wasn't there.
Did the designers steal the Chevy Avalanche milk money along with their homework?
I care nothing about EV trucks, but you guys are fun to watch.
Buy it 2 years old for $25k
I used to have a 2007 Avalanche LTZ, and still think about how cool that mid gate was to this day. Why did they ever stop making it?
I'm excited just by the shirt she's wearing lol !!
I had the work truck version as a rental in Texas. Watch your head on the fronk latch catch, you will smack your head multiple times times.
Overall it’s a great truck, just so massive.
Still not a fan of a ev I'd rather have a diesel.
The avalanche row being back is the best part of this truck IMO
Looks like an Electric Avalanche! Beats em all, Tesla, Ford, Rimac in range, styling and curb appeal, Hands Down! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
The average household across America really can only afford $ 16,000 cars with a 5 year loan the auto industry is clueless.
Way down Yonder on the Chattahoochee, it gets Hotter than a Hoovie Gucci..
Great country classic 🎶

This Channel borders on the unstated often.
I'm here for the towing test!
The only thing I would excited about is april she is a babe you are very lucky to have her in your life Tyler
She does have nice girls 😊
Where it’s awesome to see the avalanche feature come back being a person who still owns one with 325,000 miles!
Most versatile truck out there, but it should be a hybrid and it should cost $55,000 .. I understand GM has gone all in on electrics, but I think they pulled the trigger too early and the prices are outrageous.!!!
April is a very smart amazing woman. But let's face it she is absolutely stunning! I saw you two in person one time, and she's even more beautiful in real life. Now, please please please get dressed up, and give us a tour of the Kitty Kat club in the back of the hangar!
I love her sense of humor. She really upped Hoovie’s life and channels
😂😂😂😂, your kidding, right?
Still got my '05 Avalanche and still loving the utility. Wish it was the 3/4 ton though
love the concept, but it's twice as expensive as it should be. Who can afford these trucks? Talk to me when it's $45k
I think 73k would be OK!
It'll be there in less than 2 years by depreciation
They need to be the same price and there needs to be incentives for the consumer to buy one that brings the price down lower than gas. Otherwise why bother?
Tesla has options for well under 45k even before the 7k EV tax credit.
I give it five years before EV trucks are less expensive than ICE trucks. Smaller vehicles are almost there already. In China, they ARE there. EVs there are the budget option
