Keeping it mobile: editing smartphone landscape photos in Affinity Photo for iPad with Jo Bradford

In this session, award-winning fine art photographer and smartphone photography aficionado, Jo Bradford, takes you through her process of editing landscape photos taken on her phone using her other favourite mobile device, with Affinity Photo for iPad.

Jo Bradford takes pictures of the wild and windy moor on her doorstep in Dartmoor, UK as Green Island Studios and is the author of the best-selling book ‘Smart Phone, Smart Photography’. She’s often featured talking about photography on TV and radio shows including BBC1's Sunday evening prime time TV show Countryfile, on the BBC and ITV evening news, and on Radio 4.
She delivers a range of photo-walks, guided tours and workshops in smartphone photography for the Royal Photographic Society, as well as from Green Island Studios, her bespoke analogue darkroom, photography workshop and studio space.
Her award-winning fine art photography practice also takes place in her studio, which is one of the last remaining private colour darkrooms in the UK.

I don’t have that much experience with Photo, so I have a question about the way you mask. Why did you choose to add an additional mask for the adjustments instead of masking them directly?

Is there any option to know the luminosity of the image at the point where we place the cursor? something like the info tool in Photoshop. I take pictures with a white background and I can't find a way to know if a sector of my image has the value 255-255-255. I use Affinity Photo on an Ipad. Thank you.
