Take a comprehensive tour through Affinity Photo on iPad's Develop Persona, a workspace dedicated to RAW image development. Credits: Photography by James Ritson.
This is great but I'm finding non-destructive RAW re-editing very clunky. Your video ends very abruptly and doesn't show what happens when you try and go back to the embedded or linked RAW file to redit it further - especially with overlays. There's no Show Overlay button to see a previously drawn Brush Overlay so you have to refine it by guesswork. I've also had problems editing a file on AP Desktop, usingRAW linked file and then tried to edit it further on an iPad. The iPad can't locate the linked file and I can't figure out where to find it.
What is the difference between “embedded” and linked? Also, when returning into the develop persona, do the layers from the previous editing session remains when you return to it?
Most probably embedding makes whole raw image to jpeg which causes image information to lose visual datas. Using image without embedding seems better to have better image data
I have ALL Affinity products, BUT the raw edior here really doesn't manage whites and blacks at the range ends well. Highlights as s shadow recovery becomes muddy and lacks details and contrast.. maybe look at Capture One..HTH..👍
Great.
Very helpful thanks. Please make more instructional videos for Aff. V2.
This is for affinity photo 2 which should be mentioned in video title
I wish I could achieve this much knowledge to use this program to its potential.
Thank you, wonderfully to the point and useful.
Thank you for the walkthrough of the raw editing. Does Affinity Photo v2.0 for the iPad support the new OMSolutions OM-1 raw file format?
Hi, yes it does, I'm using an OM-1 :)
An awesome quick guide.

Thank you for your help. Question, do you recommend a Apple Pencil when editing?
Yes! It’s fantastic to use with this 😊

Can you invert radial masks in the develop persona?
Batch processing needed, so I could replace lightroom
🔥

Too funny -- I kept trying to DRAG the image thumbnail OUT of the sidebar, instead of just selecting it and dragging it outwards.
