Once again I learnt so much from this! What is so interesting is that different people use different sets of tools, and in different ways, and so there are constantly new things coming up. As well as stuff that I never fully got the hang of, like masking. I‘ve seen various presentations which used it, but today ‘Aha! so that’s how it works...’ Many thanks to Affinity for turning this lockdown period into a programme of masterclasses.

Well done, Ally. Your Affinity tutorials are some of the best out there and this one did not disappoint. Beyond the tools each participant has used, I think, for me, it’s also about the philosophy or mindset of the artist. That can sometimes dictate a variety of different methods toward the same end. I really love this whole series. Such a brilliant way of beefing up the Affinity channel with quality content.

Perfect! I just watched a tutorial on using the pen tool to make selections! Nice to see a practical application of the blend range control to limit highlight effects. I keep forgetting those nice shortcuts of X for color switch and D for loading defaults, so thanks also for that reminder.

Ally, I have an operational question- how do know when to or decide to add a new pixel layer to accomplish something (a new mask, or use the inpainting brush) vs. just doing it directly to a layer, and/or ‘merge visible layers’, etc. What exactly do those operations do to help you decide when to do those things?

Wow Wow, did I say WOW, Can you guys put out more video's like this ?. This was awesome and someday maybe I will be able to something like this. Do you ever watch Bethany Acorn ?, not sure if she learned all of her tricks from you guys, but she does mention Affinity Revolution in some of her reply's, she does incredible work as well, something very similar to this video, however she does not speak in all video's and works so darn fast I can't figure out what she is doing most of the time, she also just works with the iPad version of Affinity Photo. Please put out more video's like this, absolutely amazing !!. I have both versions of Affinity Photo, which one do you like to work with most iPad or Mac ?.

Because I want to get it together with an Ipad, and it would be a dream if it would have all functions. I really prefer the ipad over a pc or a laptop bc of the touchscreen, the pen and everything so, really appreciate it to get an answer for that :)
