I can’t get over how they established this much ambience for a single scene in an average SpongeBob episode.
this scene always hit different for me. it felt mysterious, but so cozy being in a coffee shop out of the rain with everyone's favorite cartoon character. call it nostalgia, but I always wanted to be here sipping coffee with the nice rain and noir music playing in the back, talking about our past and mistakes we made with clever remarks to tie the mood together. *sigh*
Says the noir detective, before suffocating in his own cigarette fumes after hotboxing himself and depleting his cramped office of precious oxygen.
The many late nights studying in the library with my coffee and this song in my headphones. This song is music is so relaxing.
@@Novelist1029 Says the overworked college student, before slumping over and dying of insomnia following months of sleepless nights, fueled only by caffeine and instant ramen.
@@StitchPen actually I don’t eat instant ramen and I sleep great at night. You sir are a hater 😁
Life bruh
Say what you want about spongebob but they damn near had the best soundtrack for a kids show
i agree
nah fr, Hey Arnold is up there as well
Yes indeed, I really miss those days😂😢
It’s not a kids show, it’s just a cartoon
@@yoboyfredoI don’t think anything topping Hey Arnold tho 😭😭😭
“Spongebob? I haven’t heard that name in years”
gives me chills. all the nostalgia from og spongebob
This could totally be in Taxi Driver, its freaking me out how this sounds so perfect
It’s 1935, a man in a brown trench coat and brown hat walks into a cafe on a rainy, gloomy day in New York. He lights a cigarette and asks the kind waitress for today’s paper and a cup of coffee.
He starts reading and suddenly sees on the right corner the photo of a beautiful woman. It's an obituary. She's dead. He leans back, thinks to himself; cancels the coffee and tips the waitress. He gets out...
Why do we set our sights upon this lone man?
For many reasons, but the most prominent is that he is Detective Walker. Chicago's most dedicated and respected officer of the law.
He is a man who has seen horrors beyond mere imagination. Stared into the darkness we fear, a darkness that our valiant Detective stares back at. Saying, _‘No, we are better.'_
But even the strongest of men, have doubt. Welcome fellow citizens. Welcome to the... *Tales Of the Walker*
The night is a somber setting. Mild activity, pedestrians filling into cabs and leaving their offices to escape to their dens. A light rainfall floods the road while the stoplight’s glow reflect off the puddles. This lone man feels closer to a nocturnal creature, with the moon being the only mistress he’s ever acquainted himself with.
No cab tonight. The murder sent his mind ablaze. He needs space to think, so he walks the street, with preoccupied thoughts centered around this mysterious murder…
He knows these streets, better than anyone else. Well… maybe not better than Franklin Salvonie, aka “Big Frank”. He’s a big shot in Boucci crime family. Nothing in these parts slips under his nose. He runs a popping casino joint. Quiet at day… loud at night. Our detective decides to take a quick visit to our man in question. Maybe he knows something. After all, he owes it to our detective, he never let it slip that big Frank is really a big rat.
Our detective whistles for a taxi, plowing through the rain. He gets in, and yells “Fank-cino”, taxi man nods. Back to the rounds, back to the day-to-day. Our Detective looks through the window of his seat, watching the bustling city, listening to the car horns of disgruntled drivers, watching the large fumes steam from the street vents and manholes, and bright neon lights on the stone building, and corner stores. He wants to know what happened to that woman, he needs to...
I want this to continue
Let me set the scene:
Newark, New Jersey
9:30 AM
Monday
Rainy outside
Only person in the coffee shop
1995
You are about to go on a vacation
And you feel like stopping for coffee before heading to the airport
Suddenly you feel a strange feeling pass through you... You're not sure what it is but continue to drink the coffee that's beginning to get cold.
@@na7ethegrea7 You drink the coffee. The cold feeling subsided. You feel the warm trickle down your throat. You check your watch, and decide it’s time to go.
@@cajosabo When you get up from your seat you realise you forgot your wallet and nervously walk over and tell the Waitress behind the counter...
@@na7ethegrea7 that you once lost something … your identity.
@Alistair Alan-A-Dale you call a cab, left with your thoughts in the rain. “Is this really what I was meant to be? Am I really using my full potential?”, soon enough a cab arrives. “Are you ___?” “Honestly, i’m not sure…”
Wow the transition between loops is real smooth, love it
Amidst the hazy dusk, SpongeBob enters a dimly lit diner shrouded in a mysterious atmosphere. The air is thick with intrigue as a lone jukebox softly plays haunting melodies in the corner. The booths are draped in shadow, and the flickering neon lights outside cast an ethereal glow on the scene.
SpongeBob takes a seat at the counter, the worn leather cushion cool beneath his touch. The chrome details of the diner gleam faintly, catching the dim light. The waitress, her face obscured by a veil of shadows, approaches him with a cryptic smile. A sense of anticipation lingers in the air, as if the diner itself holds secrets waiting to be unveiled.
As he gazes out the window, rain starts to patter against the glass, adding to the enigmatic ambiance. The raindrops form intricate patterns on the windowpane, distorting the world outside and creating an almost dreamlike quality.
Time seems to slow down, and SpongeBob's thoughts drift into introspection. The clinking of dishes and the faint laughter of unseen patrons contribute to the enigma. It's a moment suspended in time, where reality blurs with the mystique of the unknown.
Damn that was awesome
Let me create the perfect scene for this:
4:00 a.m.
chilly, rainy night (about 60F)
retro 50’s dinner
nearly empty, 2 other fellas having a cup of coffee and 1 reading the newspaper
1 cashier, 1 cook in the back
you get your coffee and start to have deep thoughts, pondering, looking outside the window next to your table. relaxed
Makes me feel like a Detective In the 1940s so smooth and such a noir sound ❤️ love it
Play this while driving on a slightly rainy night, it’s a vibe
Might be about 4 years late, but this is really good. Sure I could listen to the song on Spotify, but having Spongebob just sitting there on screen, and with the perfect looping, this is just so much better. Good job, this need more recognition.
This really feels like it would be in a video game.
I heard it on spotify and swore for a long time I heard it in Fallout New Vegas, but turns out it was from SPONGEBOB lol

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ur funny
Been steaming for a whole hour

one of my favourite scenes of spongebob. He at that café raining outside.
It was late august and it had been quiet for sometime now. Told me that she'd be back but it's been three days already. Christ would have been resurrected already by this time, but I guess Heaven hasn't given me my angel back. I figured to just sit by the window after a long day of work and light myself a cig just to pass the time with a smoke, you know?
'Em Fingers still shake from the possibilities of her not yet back. Though she is a lovely rose, her thorns i can never ignore. The wait.. the moment she left.. it killed me on the inside. She was my peace in a life of crime. And with every fidget of my fingers to the cig - it makes me devastated that I can't bust a face or a bad man when all i have is myself and a bathroom mirror to see. Windy afternoon and dusk is about to come. If I don't stay still with jazz then maybe I'd take a walk outside.. feel my hands ache from every bad man i break.
_is there more to this story?_
@@marz_siete Months had passed and still no signs of her, just her scent that I could remember and that front teeth that bit my lower lip after every embrace we have had. Those days are never now as now will never have her. Misery, my company and the vigilance of both my eyes and ears to the streets are my calling.
Almost ten minutes to eleven and I can still feel nothing from the Bourbon since nine. Messy desk, papers misplaced, light tinkering and an open window. Still frustrated that the Judge dismissed the case. Contact told me that Judge was actually a classmate of the accused.. and all that I knew except where she went.
Told me a meeting at the docks at exactly twilight was gonna happen. Told myself that I was gonna happen to them when the law didn't. I could hear the wind whistle from the rooftop of a five storey building.. calling me, promising to lift me by my collar when I jump, but I know in myself mother Earth and its elements never cared for those who bathed its soil in blood like we bad men do. Should I suffer waiting for you, love? Or should I let the guilty suffer more? I do not know if I lacked that love because I loved to stop crime. I never realized though.. that I was committing a crime to you by breaking your heart seeing me wounded, scarred, with broken ribs and bleeding lips.
It's eleven and my trenchcoat keeps me warm from the cold nature of my call. Fedora, leather gloves, knife, gun and my cig. Clanking of a zippo like stoning blades. Lighting my cigarette the way you lit me every night. I'm just giving God the breath he gave me as clay every second you are away from me. I'm just giving God the bad fruits from this Garden of Los Angeles. God.. it's cold tonight.. It will be like 1939 Siberia once clock hits twelve.
There's gotta be more to the story. I gots to know.

Listening to this at midnight while smoking hits different
you have no idea how much i needed this. heck _i_ didn't know how much i needed this. it's so relaxing. thank you so much.
this scene felt like spongebob come into consciousness, all of sudden he know he have to be mature. It is like void between teenage and adults. just last sunset as a school student.
If i had my own coffee shop, this would be one of the songs that play at night and or if its raining
Amazing, my coffees cold within five minutes...
I really just put this on for half an hour, left it playing and deeped my life. feeling better already
He’s like pondering all the moments that led to him being here at this dinner
This scene is the reason why I go alone into a Ihop or whatever breakfast place for a coffee and toast.
This is that Classic Dark Noir Jazz - Perfect Stormy Rainy Night Jazz 😌☔️⛈️
Time had edged between at least half past 9, and maybe before 3 am. Everything was dark and gloomy and foggy, cold outside. Real cold too, easily see your breath real nice. The dimly lit bar had a red afterglow to it, and old shaded windows. The inside of the bar was quiet. A long cold stare outside was purely a stare of pensive thought. You could see him sitting smoking slowly, staring out the window.
I see the crystal raindrops fall and the beauty of it all
The longest stare in history

SpongeBob’s got a stellar attention span.
The early seasons of Spongebob are masterpieces in animation
Beginning sounds like every song off Morph The Cat
She used me. I fell so dirty. I thought I was the only one but she mad a whole other man somewhere. I was used for her pleasure. I feel so stupid. So dirty. I hate her but she passes through my mind everyday. Like clock work. I forgive her. I wish I never meet her. Her charming smile. Her beautiful brown eyes. Long black hair. I loved her. I really did. She played me for a fool. Her lies drive me crazy and yet I still fall for her. I still love her. I hate her yet I love her. When does it stop..
Boss up lil nigga
That time when Spongebob met Hey Arnold's soundtrack:
(I absolutely freaking love it!)
Nothing better to listen while you do your tasks or study for an exam, goddamit spongebob trully has an amazing soundtrack
Reminds me of growing up in Flatbush, this used to be the music that would play in my head while walking through the hood, trying my best to maintain a serious face whilst holding in laughter. What a time.

This made me shed a tear
Reminds me of the taxi driver theme
5 months since we last spoken, more than a year since we last met in person, but not a day goes by where she wasn't on my mind, heart, and soul.
Life can be cruel
3 years since I last saw her in person. I feel you!
Same but it's been 7 years now and my life is shit
i know htis is a corny comment but this is quite literally me, cant believe its been damn near 2 years soon
So relaxing
1930's and 1940's music when Al Capone and mobsters took over Chicago and New Yorkers was running a business and also the 30s and 40s crime drama theme where gangsters form a mob playing dice, cards, smoking cigars, Babe Ruth was playing baseball in the 1930's and you know the rest.
why is this loop not used much it is the best
