Richard Hawley was the lead guitarist from the Sheffield band the 'Longpigs'... Two tacks by them to check out are "She Said", "On and On". Personally I much prefer the kind of stuff that Hawley puts out as a soloist... Loving your reactions, only just come across you and subbed... It's good to have reactors that understand what they are listening to...
Pulp and Mr Cocker at their very very finest...Best vesion of this song on UA-cam!!! I've too have watched this many many time and still get chills when they reach the first crescendo, which for a 71 year old is quite a feat. As to being the national anthem...absolutely My mark 99/100
Richard Hawley was in a great band called Longpigs (probably refering to human meat being called "long pork" at a guess), The Sun is Often Out is a little remembered indie classic album. Lost Myself or She Said would be a great intro to them. His solo album Cole's Corner lost to Arctic Monkeys debut at the Mercury awards, where Alex claimed he had been robbed. He's such a legend, I once visited his official forum to see him having posted "I'm off down the pub (named, but I forget), anyone fancy a pint?".

They were here in Buenos Aires last year, and it was truly amazing! They're so good live!
Music back then was simply better. There are only a handful of bands and artists on that level today compared to hundreds back then.

This is one of THE great live performances. I was so close to being there but didn't get tickets in time - It still hurts me to this day
Check 1998 version, much better

Either the the Broadfield or Fagan’s - likely the latter.
RIP Steve Mackey
I was there! Great gig!
Very jealous!!
LEGENDARY
The only concert I wish I was at
it's so punk
You are both part of a "giggling Cowell generation" of hipsters who really haven't got a clue. It's not your fault though.
