Good info I am on my church’s safety team and at the age of 48 I am the 2nd young’s on the team. I have over 15 years experience with mma and BJJ and none of them are willing to train other then static shooting

I feel bad for you, having the onus to protect the flock placed on you like that

Then you should look at hiring a police officer to stand at the door. He's armed and can call other 1st responders.
Nothing worse than having a security staff that doesn't know what to do. You could get people hurt bro...
Just pay for the police officer...
Prior military and that was my advice to my church when they asked me to lead security team.
I'm sure if explained people wouldn't mind donating to have the officer there.

You should do more videos on close quaters combat. You are one of the only people i seen actually doing the self defense/cqb techniques on a much larger individual props

Anyone else thinking left hook if anyone grabs your arm like that 🙄

There is always an answer/response for every variable. The video does not go into details, and if you watch the latter part of the video, there is something one can do to nullify the knockout power of a strike.

Not thinking it would be easy to throw a left hook with 140lb man hanging off that arm.

I don't understand the haters. Looks like variations on an arm drag. A proven and effective technique in wrestling, BJJ, Judo and most any grappling.

Pretty cool but knife attacks almost always include a leveraging arm in real life attacks.

Sorry, this is one failed video. The combativeness of a adrenaline filled individual would render all these "techniques" ineffective at best, but most likely dangerous to attempt. The moment you lift one foot, I have the advantage through your commitment. The moment you commit your body weight plus acceleration, I have the advantage of inertia. If this was a family member or two friends going at it. Then maybe I would be willing to sacrifice my safety. But an unknown combatant, that won't cease upon verbal commands, nerve centers followed by immobilization strikes on soft target areas. There are countless people who have never had more than a school yard fight, or maybe a bar fight. Grappling techniques require serious commitment to training for them to be successful, and even then, can quickly result in self injury.

We don't put out nonsense. If you don't think it will work, that's your opinion, and you can scrap it.
Also, not sure if he mentions it in the video, but as the video description states:
"This is an introduction that omits details, but the video acts as a primer to concepts revolving around gaining and maintaining control when in-fighting."

@@TacticalHyve The title, "Close Quarter Fighting Tips: Leveraging Body Control Points" (a.k.a. Choke Points) I think the reason you're seeing myself and others remark negatively is because these are not close quarter tactics. Nor would any trained individual attempt these maneuvers on a combatant whose size and strength far out weighs our own. You say you don't put out nonsense< ya, well, there's a first time for everything.

See our previous comment. If it doesn’t click, we won’t lose any sleep. We know our lineage and the contexts we are coming from and this may be nonsense to you, but you aren’t everyone. Do what you want and believe what you want. It’s America.

Do you study martial arts ? Because I do, Been practicing JKD for about a decade. You do that to me and you’ll most likely wake up in the hospital. What do you think he is going to do with his right hand and right leg while your pulling on his left biceps 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

He’s been doing this stuff all his life. You’re missing the context as to when this comes into play. As he mentions in the video, read between the lines and get creative. If you can’t figure out a use for it, then you can scrap it or you might know the practical use yet.
