I love this man. He talks so calmly makes me wanna listen to him forever.

I genuinely feel smarter after listening to this guy talk. NDT can have that effect but he still has this condescending tone like he wants to make sure that you know that he's smarter than you. Brian speaks about this stuff so effortlessly and seems to genuinely enjoy talking about stuff he's knowledgeable on.
Joe Rogan should take note.
Great observation
@@theinnerparty5295I don’t think Joe’s ever been impressing with his smarts.
The fact that there are people like Brian cox out there advancing humanity’s understanding makes me very happy. It’s an interesting concept to take a problem and find an answer to it, especially at the scale of magnitude that they operate in. I want to help !

I’m halfway through, so far Joe has been talking over most of Brian’s parts.
Joe loves Brian but he can get a tad too enthusiastic at times.
Joe Rogan is sitting across from one of the greatest minds of our generation and one of the most captivating people in science and he is spending half the time talking over him and not giving him a chance to say anything... like bro... there is so much you can learn from him if you take a breath and just condense what you wanna say into fewer words
Absolutely hated this when watching it. Rogan has a huge ego and god complex and just doesn’t stand being wrong in a discussion. Rogan strayed way off the path of discussion that Brian was interested in.
@@jackibackiboy5528Hahaha "huge ego and God complex"? WTF? How about you have Brian on your podcast and talk about whatever you want him to.

It's called having a conversation

hes too excited to speak to mr cox lol
This podcast episode is truly amazing and probably the best I’ve seen Joe do. I could listen to Joe speak with Brian Cox all day.
Joe is behaving like an excited child seeing his hero - and needed like 70 mins or so to calm down lol. Absolutely amazing to listen!
Very well put!
My exact thought as I started this. I have never heard Joe so excited and interrupt so much lol
Or he had too much Alpha Brain!!
Exactly what I was thinking while listening!
I had to tune Joe out when he said 3 billion years isn’t that long.

@@Slaxsvo the point was a willingness to engage...not necessarily understand. That's why you would be a terrible teacher.
I would love to see an All Star JRE podcast with Brian Cox, Neil Degrasse Tyson, Graham Hancock and maybe a 4th guy. Might be tough to pull off with that many people wanting to talk but DAMN!! would it be great!
Came here to listen to Brian Cox. Ended up listening to Joe Rogan
Brian is Tony Hinchcliffe's favorite physicist.
I've heard he loves Cox.
Thirteen Brian Cox at Ram Ranch!

Brian’s my fav JRE scientist. He was on around 2019ish promoting a live show he was touring. Heard about it on JRE, told my gf I wanted to go, she bought us tix for our as an anniversary gift for me, we went, AND I MET JOE THERE! Had a chat for a minute, got a selfie w him, n then watched the show (which was awesome).
You met a gem of a girlfriend my dude, she’s a keeper
@ she sure is
I watched that one going through a breakup it was so soothing … 2024…. Going through a break up again and yeah got this in my feed and chuckled
I don't know how to explain this. Sometimes in life people ask you to explain something and while you explain it, you have a realization that just unlocks something. Rogan is the perfect person to ask questions whilst Brian seems absolutely happy to answer in the hopes he had that moment. That fella is so interesting and pleased to be asked questions.
Absolutely love Brian Cox and his logical thinking and how he sees anything and everything. I could sit for days with him and just talk about all kinds of topics. Brilliant individual.
Brian Cox is my all time favourite scientist, so smart and knowledgeable but also so self aware and open to change based on new findings/evidence. If I ever end up in a scientific research role, Brian will be a massive part of that. Thank you for the work that you do and countless hours of entertainment and thought provoking insights. You will forever be someone that I look up to!

I love Brian Cox and generally quite like Joe Rogan, but Joe Rogan needs to understand when he’s out of his depth and just let the guest talk. Joe kept interrupting and throwing up absurd notions when Brian was getting to really interesting parts of topics, then they would not come back to it!
I love you Joe but for God sake, zip it when you’ve got someone this intelligent teaching us such amazing things
I felt the same, almost as if Joe wanted to keep up and advance the conversation but he ended up breaking it.
I disagree, I think Jo did great, pulled it back into our perspective.

Probably one of the best Joe Rogan interviews of all time. The whole episode was great, but from 2hrs on until the end was exceptional. So many great thoughts and perspectives here, and Joe was asking some excellent questions.
Joe has one of the best speaker on the planet and he is monologuing for 2 hours....
I've had to turn it off. Joe cuts him off, chats nonsense and derails interesting topics. The whole AI section was poised to be so interesting and got smothered by Joe's babbling.

I can’t. I hate the explanation’s. If it’s basically an imploded star that’s been sucking in energy for billions of years, I’d think the radiation around it would be immense. One of my all time hero's. I could listen to Brian talk astrophysics every day for the rest of my life. Softly spoken yet somehow maintains an affable smile as he talks excitedly about his research and interests. I have to say that I really admire Joe's interviewing skills too; letting Brian talk and asking relevant questions, knowing when to step in and ask for more details for the audience to comprehend a bit better, and not at all making it about himself. Huge respect. Thank you!
Someone make a chrome extension to skip Joe's monologues. We could all contribute and mark the timelines like in the extension Sponsorblock or something. That would trim each episode to about a quarter and make it way more pleasant.
