Hey Chris I just wanted to say that videos like this are encouraging for beginners like myself. I watch all of your videos and at times I can get kind of intimadated by your stuff especially your open pour swim baits. But to see guys of your level still making stuff like this is very encouraging. Thanks for all the content, keep up the good work.
*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
"Back 2 Basics" is a great idea Chris...it's kinda a "How 2 Start" with plastic baits and an introduction to the wonderful "World of Color" which in my humble opinion is the hardest concept to understand, it takes successes and failures....in a word "experience", to master. I hope you continue and maybe even expand this mini series of videos. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into all of your WWF videos... I can never get enough!!! Keep your family safe Chris.... thanks again.
Chris the Peacock bass looks incredible. Yes these kind of videos are a boost of encouragement to those new in the bait making world. I pray that you keep going with the back2basics tutorial videos.
@@WorldsWorstFishing would you include in one of your upcoming back2basics videos the differences in baits that have and have not been ran through the vacuum chamber?
I really enjoy these videos! I started out with Do-it molds plastic and colorants, and I actually really love their colors and haven’t really tried any other companies colors or glitters. I would like to experiment with MF or lureworks, but I have almost every color that I need, and feel like I’d be taking a step back when it comes to recipes if I did that. I’d love to see more of this, because even though I’ve been making baits for several years now, I’m still learning and I appreciate the videos. I know some folks don’t like you doing these because they’re small bait companies and it’s making their customer base smaller if their customers start making plastics, but I actually thank you for it, because why wouldn’t you want to share something like this!
It comes in any profession honestly. If you ever do any more business related videos, could you do one on marketing and advertising? Like how did you get Land is the Limit out there, best ways to market, etc
Chris Great way to show the difference in the colors. I have been working on videos doing this. I have to say man you did a great job. Keep it up man and you and your family stay safe and can't wait till Simple Jack comes over and y'all build his rod.
I just started watching you channel recently and i find all your videos great so far, but my son and I are just getting ready to venture into soft bait making so these kinds of videos are awesome for us. That said some of your layered hand pours and more complicated baits are so fun to watch come together. Thanks bud.
I'm just starting out pouring plastics and this was so helpful. Your whole channel has been very helpful. I'm trying to model some of my colors after yours because I like yours so much. Thank you for all the hard work you do.
YES! Definitely! more of these videos, I like em! I like what you said about the bait catching the fisherman, I’ve said that a lot. I guess i never thought about it on a confidence level, makes sense to me.
Appreciate the back to basics. Just got an open pour mold and some dead on essentials. A few more elements and i hope to be bait making by spring. So yeah, appreciate the time you took to show what you can do with a minimal setup. Thanks.
I understood the concept of this video. I think it’s important to know the basic of colors and what is capable with a only few colors to eventually master it like the peacock lures at the end of the video. Great work Chris! Awesome lesson!!
Just wanted to thank you for doing these types of videos for beginners because. It got me into the hobby and I just placed my first order today with dead on plastics if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t know where to begin with all the options out there. so thanks for simplifying the process
I enjoy these videos more than the crazy colors. Sometimes simple colors are the most effective. Great advice in there for us beginners. Keep the videos coming!
I've been thinking about pouring some bait and didn't know where to start. Your videos have definitely helped out and have put me in the right direction. Appreciate all your time and hard work!
Chris your content has always been stellar. I think if you almost had a rating system for your videos that would help people with where they are in their bait making skills. So for instance - beginner, intermediate & advanced. That way we have an idea of the difficulty of pulling off what your doing on camera. Keep up the fine work my friend.
I think the Back to Basics idea is great man! Keep up the good work. You’re quickly becoming one of my top watched channels. I could watch you and Marling everyday
Def love these types of videos, actually just watched your “starting plastic lure making with $500...” last night. I don’t really have the room where I live now to start but as soon as I move east in the future, it’s on! Would love to see some peanut butter grape too. Thanks again Chris!
In lure making with a very limited budget what molds would you recommend when you can only get 1or 2 molds. Because I’m twelve have found all the equipment but just wanted to see what mold you would recommend
I love these types of videos. You got me into this with the basic colors and I experimented on my own but these less complex tutorials will bring a lot more people into the hobby. I can say a "Pigment Specific" video would be a great idea... Hey guys here are 4 or 5 things you can do with X color a powder and a couple glitters.
Hey Chris, Now this video series im really liking, back to basics for a guy like me considering to start doing this myself. Im laid off for several weeks up to 3 months because of corona virus, this interests me more and more...Thank you and ya ll be safe RikNeck
Love watching you make baits no matter how you do it. Have you tried making some more unnatural colors before like a flame color or maybe like a psychedelic color?
Hi I'm from Puerto Rico , first time seeing your video, really like it. Want to start my own business here please continue showing and giving ideas. Thanks
Love this type of video. More my speed with my type of set up 👍 Also love the how to color videos. My dual injector should be here next week. Can't wait to try to make "sure thing" from bass pro stiko-o worms. I got a bass tackle 6 inch thick stick coming also
This video helped me out a lot cause when I start making my own baits this spring/summer, I now know I wont need a ton of stuff right away to make multiple different things.
Your videos are always super helpful and very informative! the only thing im missing is a degassing pump because my hand pours turn out with micro bubbles everywhere but like you said baby steps.
Thank you for your videos. I am learning a ton and am starting to get into making soft baits. I have a problem though and am hoping you can help me. Do you know why most of my glitter settles to one side of the bait? I can send you a picture if you’d like.
I am going to getting a kit from DO-IT but after watching your videos I will get molds elsewhere. I also have been getting ideas from watching you like putting glitter in and mixing before the colorant, then putting the colorant in but not fully mixing it so it has a streak like effect along with the clear and the glitter all over. I guess it would be kind of a laminate situation without the straight-line effect, what do you think?
I just found your channel tonight and I am amazed! I can't believe how easy this looks... is there a good start-up kit and what kind of entry costs would I be looking at? I hate throwing away beat-down baits and try to recycle them however I can (usually cut down my old senkos into make-shift ned worms, for example).
Awesome videos. I'm brand new to bait making. Ordered my supplies last night and can't wait to start! Quick question though, how long do you let the plastic set in the mold before opening it?
Hope you enjoyed this video! Visit my link in the description for awesome pigments!!
Buen día donde consigue el molde del último plastico
I may be crazy but I think I actually enjoy these types of videos more then the ones where you get crazy with the baits.
thanks for the feedback!

Being in a country with limited bait making equipment and colorants this has really helped me. many thanks and please post more like this one.
