The Hawaiian Pancakes by themselves look exactly like the McGriddle here in USA. They are 2 pancakes infused with maple bits that have an egg cheese and meat in between and served as a breakfast sandwich.
As someone in Hawaii, I wish we had any of that at Mcdonalds lol. We have the Mcgriddle/pancake one though... well, as a breakfast sandwich bun. I actually like to do the hashbrown thing on my own. Gotta buy them separately though since it's not an actual thing on the menu, even though it's such a good mix.
The pancakes in the video are the buns used in a breakfast sandwich sold at McDonalds in America called McGriddle. It’s a batter bun with pockets of maple flavor syrup. The sandwich has choices such as egg and cheese or sausage.
McDonald's Japan has been the best tasting throughout my worldly travels I miss their freshly made food. Thanks for sharing this video. Food looked delicious 😋
As a native Hawaiian the Hawaiian burgers are the closest to what local Hawaiians eat. All the comments on here about adding “pineapple” to things - that is what tourists and mainlanders eat not local Hawaiians.
The HAWAIIAN PANCAKE IS THE BUN FOR THE MCGRIDDLE! My Dad's favorite at Mickey D's. Wish you guy's had Carl's Jr in Japan, THE WESTERN BACON CHEESBURGER, that comes with ONION RINGS on it, would blow your minds!

I doubt very much that McD in Hawaii would serve any of these 'Hawaiian' burgers in Hawaii. They would be ridiculed if they did.. The locals would look at it in disgust, especially since Hawaiian food has no burgers.
These are better looking than the Macca's burgers and meals here in Aus, that's for sure. People are negative about eating live animals and always will be. Its barbaric. So is stealing dolphins from the water for theme parks etc. They do it. But I don't blame all the people.
Wow, such delicious offerings you have at your McDonald's in Japan. The drinks look very refreshing! The shrimp burger looked the most appealing to me. I wish we had edamame as a side choice here in the US. Satoshi has such a descriptive way of describing all aspects of the foods you guys eat!
My daughter would be soooo happy with the edamame side dish. The garlic shrimp and samurai burgers sounds interesting, as well as the new nugget sauces. Here samurai flavoured things are spicy, not sure why they made the association between samurai and spicy as Japanese food is normally not spicy.
I don’t eat ground beef so if I had to choose I would pick the shrimp burger. That looked really tasty and not dry. I’m not a big McDonalds fan either, however, the Japan McDonalds fried foods look less greasy and saturated with oil than those in the USA. I live on the east coast in New England and the menu here is limited. Sometimes McDonalds comes out with specialty foods as a promotion only for a short time. I would love to visit Japan. The food looks generally healthier with wholesome ingredients. I would visit the countryside. From your videos it looks so aesthetically beautiful and peaceful. Love you guys and your Tabieats videos. ❤️
You live on the coast of New England and the menu is limited? There are endless seafood shacks and restaurants. I lived in Maine and they had excellent produce. They have lobster rolls in New England McDs.
Hi, I was referring to the limited McDonalds menu not menus in New England in general. I grew up in New England and I agree that it has some of the best seafood in the country.
Really wish the US would let us try some of these burgers some times.. I'm dying to try a shrimp burger myself. As for the Hawaiian pancakes.. laughable? I would of thought something more along the lines of coconuts and pineapples before berries lol.
Tabasco is the original Louisiana hot sauce. There is also a brand called "Louisiana" hot sauce. Louisiana hot sauce is just aged peppers ( typically tabasco peppers) vinegar and salt.
Thank for all the effort you went to for this, the Hawaiian shirts etc. So cute. Also thought it was good Yiu shared the self care skill share. Take care you two, don't do too much. Be kind to yourselves xx
Just so you know Shinichi, Louisiana hot sauce is very common, it's 3 ingredients vinegar, red pepper, and salt. Tabasco and Crystal being two of the most popular brands.
My favourite table hot sauce condiments of those three ☝️ is literally named “Louisiana Hot Sauce.” Hehe Tends to be vinegar based hot sauce using cayenne peppers.

The one with the hash brown in it is legit great, I hope they bring it back after this promotion. I also didnt think it was going to be anything special but the sauce is really nice and the hash brown adds a lot. I didnt know about the Louisiana hot sauce so I know what I will get next time I go!
I totally get you about Hawaiian pancake not existing in Hawaii. In Thailand we also have American fried rice, kanom Tokyo, Lodchong Singapore, none of which are originated in those places. 😂
i think the blue hawaii is like a version of the cocktail blue hawaii, which has pineapple juice, sweet & sour mix, light rum, vodka and blue curacao in it. i love it since i make it & drink it on occasions ^_^ you can also make it virgin with using sprite or 7up instead of the alcohol.

I had it on my 1st morning in Hawaii at the Wailana Coffee House, and had it for breakfast almost every day after during my time in Hawaii. Anyway, those burgers look amazing. The garlic shrimp reminds me of ebi katsu burger, my favorite type of burger in Japan. Living in Texas, our stores have all types of Louisiana hot sauce. I could send you a bottle for you to do a taste comparison.
Is the pale cheese the same stuff they call a Swiss cheese slice? That seemed like a very successful food haul. McDonalds has worked especially hard on these burgers and sauces, I think 😁
The salad is similar to succotash in the U.S. which is corn and lima beans, although it is usually served hot. I am jealous of the shrimp burgers in Japan. McDonalds has been trying out some international items in the U.S. but so far, I have not seen any of these.
