  • A new pack, new territory but some things don't change no matter who you align with. A lesson Strider and his brothers are learning, as they face off against an opponent a mere fraction of their size.
Today we breakdown the barely known troodontid, Geminiraptor.
    Narrative Part 1: 00:00
    Breakdown: 07:50
    Narrative Part 2: 11:07

An interesting fact about Troodontids/Raptors is as they evolve they tend to get smaller, deadlier and smarter as opposed to their other Dino cousins which 'Big & Dumb' is the catchword of the day.

I love reading all the comments criticizing you for making the dromeosaurs in your stories have human-like intelligence, I think its great and it really helps to show how intelligent these animals were. Keep on doing what you want, this is your show after all.

    Aussie Dagga!?
Will Dagga become a Watcher of the Stars and evolve into a mystic or seer and the power behind the throne?
Perhaps he may be at the early stages of grooming Strider for rule?
I await the next installment of Game of Claws.

    Troodontids is cat confirmed?
With that out of the way First and though interesting I’d personally prefer less human elements to a story about dinosaurs.
Like maybe suggestions of their thoughts rather than dialogue of it.
Ex: Strider grunted, with a boom click of syrinx signaling to dagger his frustrations
    As opposed to:
I’d rather do anything else than look after these awful children dagger. Like seriously they’re careless and stupid, let me hunt!
Alright, I suppose we’ve relegated you to a bit of a reluctant role strider… very well you may hunt tomorrow.
This is supposed to be constructive criticism, I do like the story but it’s a bit human for, regardless I’m still gonna watch.

Non-verbal exposition i.e. using behavioral cues to convey meaning, is done very effectively in other fiction. Spirit is a perfect example of how this can be done, but I would love something like that oriented around Dinosaurs or predators in general.

Not gonna lie, your attempts to anthropomorphize the dinos are seriously making me consider unsubscribing from your channel and I'm not going to press the like button. If this is really something you want to do, then why don't you just make a separate series where you can anthropomorphize them as much as you like while you stick to teaching strict paleo facts and speculative behaviors in this series (PB)?

Well, he does do a mix of both on this channel. I think it's just kinda interesting how he tells these stories that kinda humanize the animals. You can learn about a dinosaur and even have a little story about the dinosaur, too. It's like a book, and the dinosaurs are characters. I think his storytelling is pretty cool, but I guess we all have our opinions.
