Scotland History Tours is here for people who want to learn about Scottish history and get ideas for Scottish history tours. I try to make videos which tell you tales from Scotland's past and give you information about key dates in Scottish history and historical places to visit in Scotland. Not all videos are tales from Scotland's history, some of them are about men from Scotland's past or women from Scotland's past. Basically the people who made Scotland. From April 2020 onward I've tried to give ideas for historic days out in Scotland. Essentially these are days out in Scotland for adults who are interested in historical places to visit in Scotland.
As a Scottish history tour guide people ask: Help me plan a Scottish holiday, or help me plan a Scottish vacation if your from the US. So I've tried to give a bit of history, but some places of interest in Scotland as well.

Bruce, just had the pleasure of seeing you live in Dunoon's Burgh Hall on Friday evening (1st September). Your delivery was superb and the whole show was so enjoyable. I especially liked the way you handled those few hecklers who seemed to think they had come to an open political/social discussion rather than a stand-up comedy show. We had paid to listen to and enjoy you, not them. I can assure you that very few of us (if any) who live in Dunoon have ever referred to The Queen's Hall as The People's Hall!

When I think of Scotland and its history. I think of St Margaret. This is a village, sorry there was a village now eating up by polmont in falkirk. Its name was St. Margaret's. Funny it was a prisoner of war camp in ww2. But that's another story. But it was a golden age of Scottish history. Not only was she the queen of Scotland. She was made a Saint. Log story short kids got food and even schools. Long before the system we have today. Not even a foodbank back then.

Are you interested in broad Scots? There's still a lot of it in areas of Dundee. E.g. Brigfut for Bridgefoot. Or go to Kirkton, Dundee, which is known as a rough area, but there are lots of kindly folk and a definite community there, and lots of Scots language, along with their distictive accent.

Alas, I have been living long in the new lands of the America's, but have lived a long time and times in England prior. I have even written off a car in Scotland. But my funny connection here is, my sister whom does all the DNA nonsense, tested to be a direct relation to ol' Robert de Bruce. Yes me and my siblings (plus a brother) are all natural relations. So I guess, it might put me on the direct relation ladder too (me and thousands of other, I guess.)
