Saw them a couple of weeks ago in Glasgow. Set was mainly BSR stuff with a couple of Lizzie ones thrown in. Awesome gig, best I’ve been to for several years. Proper rock band.

This is what a hard rocking band at the very top of the tree sounds like, playing live music by highly skilled musicians, front by the very best singer-songwriters on this planet at this time and that is a recorded fact, I know that Phil Lynott would have been very happy and proud to sing Rickys songs and that is saying something

Young people just cannot play like the old dudes, there may be a few but the old dudes, the old school Rock bands kick ass. Thin Lizzy was one of those bands that sounded great with that twin Guitar attack. Look at 68 year old Scott Gorham still kicking ass, what memories he must have being on stage with the great Phil Lynott. I think it is awesome that the young people in the crowd get there socks rocked off by guys in there 40's, 50's and 60's.
A wise and highly intelligent man speaks his mind and tells the truth
bands had to practice in clubs for years against a real audiience and write hits to get a record contract. Today a kid can roll out of bed and record a song and upload it. These bands spent years perfecting their craft before they had their first hit. Any craft must be practiced for about 10 years before you become an expert at it.

Well, thats Jimmy DeGrasso whos the former drummer of: White Lion, Suicidal Tendencies, Alice Cooper, Megadeth, David Lee Roth, Ministry, Dokken and Ratt as well as also worked with Ozzy.
He always sounds amazing.

Nice! Although the mix is really muddy, and that's mostly down to Ricky playing 3rd guitar, Scott's way too gainy tone and (it seems) a very annoying reverb of some kind on the snare... Too much going on, sounds rushed that way. But apart from that, good set 😉
Well the tent scenes do have some issues with the sound. When I saw Thyrfing on the other stage the year after I could barely hear the vocals and I remember a couple of friends saw Masterplan the day before Black Star Riders and complained on the sound too.
Spot on about the sound. Sounded crowded and hairy.They need Robbo to tell them you can’t sound like this.

Shite. Seen Black Star many times…every time Scott Gor’ is marginalised. The appalling guitar that Brian Robertson would have played is dreadful and he’s zero talent. 7 concerts I’ve seen this lot. Damon and later Christian were shite. Thank god Scott left. The great Mr Moore and Phil would turn in their graves at this bollox
