I keep a bin of my “used” dryer sheets from the laundry to dust furniture, the floor, baseboards, etc… Zero waste!
Great idea!
Me too!
Me 3 & good for ceiling fans
Dito
I also use them on my Swiffer mop and clean the ceiling fan, the corners of the ceiling walls, woodwork. I spray the sheets with disinfectant and run it over to the walls and ceiling, feel so good and clean and smells good.
When we did medical mission trips to Haiti we used dryer sheets in our pillow cases and our scrubs pockets to repel mosquitoes. I’ve used dryer sheets to dust my tv screens also. Thanks for all the great hacks. ♥️
Blessings to you, for you medical mission trips to Haiti...
Did you specifically use Bounce as she mentioned? Thank you
@@HzFvr yes we did.
Since there's a chemical on the dryer sheets aren't you afraid of what it will do to your t.v.?
@@faithward1757 Thank you Ms. Faith👍
I am so saving this video! I have actually used dryer sheets in shoes and trash cans so I can attest that this works! Your hack with Bounce brought back a fond memory of my dad. He was an avid gardener and was always fighting mosquitoes. He tucked dryer sheets inside his baseball cap and they would hang down like a curtain around his head! It was hilarious, but he swore it worked!
I put them into my vents in the Winter...my mom taught me to do this as an Air freshener when we were really poor... always a clean house though..that's important
SOUNDS LIKE MY DAD..HE WOULD GO TO WALMART AND PURCHASE EVVVVERYTHING HE SAW OFF THE ' SEEN ON TV ISLE. HE HAD ACHY JOINTS SO HE SWORE BY THOSE COPPERTONE PRODUCTS. THE RINGS, GLOVES, SOCKS, YOU NAME IT. WE'D LAUGH HIM OUT THE DOOR EVERYTIME HE'D COME BY. LORD, WHAT I WOULDN'T GIVE TO HAVE 1 MORE LAUGH WITH HIM. 💔 NO MORE PAIN DADDY, CONTINUE YOUR REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE. 😭😭😭😭🙏🏿
I've been cleaning my baseboards with dryer sheets for years. They are great for dusting!
Dryer sheets are super useful, I’m glad I’m not the only one! Some favorite places I use them: lamp shades, blinds and ceiling fans! I usually use them after I have used them in the laundry.
There were so many hacks I have never seen in this video! So many creators name their diy videos "hack" videos 😔 but each one of these are true hacks. I love your hack videos! As well as your diys!! Thank you Shannon! My favorite is the stainless steel polisher and firestarter hacks. You can also use the dryer sheets to dust. Cuts down on the static that attracts dust. I've seen you use them for baseboards but they work great on furniture as well. Even used sheets will belp.
Great hacks! I also use my dryer sheets in my luggage when traveling, it keeps my clothes smelling fresh as well the luggage.
Me too
I put used dryer sheets in the bottom of my pots when I replant. It keeps the dirt in and the insects out.
Great dryer sheet hacks! Thank you for sharing these with us!
Regarding using any dryer sheets in the dryer, I heard it leaves a film on the lint trap. And, that if you put water on it, and if it doesn't go through the screen, then it's time to clean it. I tried it, and sure enough, when I ran it under a faucet the water stayed on top of the screen. I cleaned it all up, and water went through. It can start a dryer fire, if it's not cleaned out.
PS When you dusted your floor, you didn't have one speck of dust come up! And, your white/sand furniture --zero marks on it! Your garbage can was even spotless! I used to be able to do all that, but 3 dogs won't let me anymore! I just want to say, your home is beautiful.
She probably had cleaned the house and the floor before she did the demo, nobody's house is that clean!

Great list Shannon‼️ One you missed is using a new dryer sheet to soak burned on, stuck on food off of cookware. It really does work n works well too. I’m looking forward to trying them on my sink faucets n a few other ideas you covered. I’m definitely sharing this video‼️ This should be a 5 minute hack video. 😊 Great job girl‼️👏
Do you just dampen the sheets and lay it on there?
I have used this all the time. Works great !👍
@@bridgetjones8339 I fill my dish with hot water dish soap and dryer sheet and soak.flat pan I guess just wet well and lay on to soak.
@@judymcgowan2881 thank you! I didn’t know about this
When I read about that, I couldn't believe it. I did try it just to see. I left a dryer sheet in a burned pot overnight. It really works 👍
When stuffing a homemade pillow, stuffed animal put new and used dryer sheets in with the polyfill. When putting your winter coats in the back of your closets, put dryer sheets in pockets or pin one inside of your coats.
I cut my dryer sheets in half. Using that and the dryer balls (from DT) I still find my clothes come out nice and fluffy!
That is exactly what I do to dry my clothes.
Thanks both of you.
Boy did I learn a lot today about what the dryer sheets are good for and will certainly be trying them out. They all seem like great ideas and will be trying them on my faucets and SS sink. Amazing! Thanks girl.
You can use bounce dryer sheets when storing your camper for the season. They keep pests out a make it smell fresh.
Never throwing away another dryer sheet again!! Thanks so much!!!
I add them to my seasonal clothes when I pack them up to store for the winter/summer.
Great tip!
Love these all, especially the lint removal and stainless steel polishing!
I have an artistic four year old. Definitely going to try this to get the crayon off the wall.
You can also spray the crayon marks with alcohol. I've had good luck with that method. Crayon marks come right off.
I just love your dryer sheet hacks! So genius & great ways to recycle them.
Great tips! I’ve been using them for on my hair for years! 😃
I have a jeweled AIR FRESHNER in my car, I am definitely going to put a dryer sheet in it...Thanks for the tips.
P
Never used dryer sheets for anything but my dryer thanks for sharing
Me too! From now on im taking a zip lock bag to the laundry and saving the used ones for so many other things. Instead of dumping them i could recycle.
I have such fun watching your videos! So so clever! Thank you for your work.
Wow! So many great dryer sheet hacks! Cannot wait to share these with my hubby! Thank you Shannon! Oh yes. I forgot to comment my favorite hack. My favorite is tucking in a fabric sheet inside the pillow covers!
Great, great hacks Shannon! I have used fabric sheets for a long time to remove the lent from my dryer vent!😁 As always Shannon, thank you for sharing your hacks with us! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤🇺🇸😊
I had a bottle of liquid fabric softener that a friend left behind, I found that you can simply pour a small amount of it on to a clean wash cloth ( dry) and throw it in the dryer when you forgot to put the softener in the wash..it works great!!
Using fabric softener or dryer sheets on towels greatly ruins their absorption.
I keep a box of dryer sheets in my car especially in the winter time to rub down the carpets because it keeps you from getting shocked when you close you car doors. Also it just smells amazing! I use original Downy.
Good ideas. My wife used dryer sheets for a diy project and realized that after she handled many of them, she got an itchy rash. She finished the project with thin plastic gloves. We thank you for all the ideas.
Maybe it was the perfume in whatever brand she used. I can’t use Tide or gain I break out in horrendous hives every single time. 🤦🏼♀️
love these hacks all of these are great. they are great for cleaning blinds.
Wow never thought about cleaning blinds. Thanks
As a mosquitoes repellent, any brand works, for sure. Used it all the time in FL and we always smelled good too 😉
Loved all but one hack with the dryer sheets. Dryer sheets are scented with chemicals not sure I want to digest roasted marshmallows or any other foods.
There is a chemical in Bounce dryer sheets and many other sheets on the market that is also an insecticide. I would rather have a dryer sheet in my pocket than spray on me. I tape a dryer sheet to the back of all my kitchen and bathroom drawers just in case any crawlies want to get in. I also use dryer sheet to wipe down my screens in windows and doors every few days to keep the no see ums out! I am going to try all the other ideas. Everything will smell so nice!!
Great ideas on the drawers n screens n window’s! Tfs!
Wow that's a really important thing to know!!I didn't know that but I knew they keep bugs or mosquitoes AWAY..so hmm..that's why
Wow, thanks for your tips!
Some great ideas thx
@@aubreyshelton3217 they don’t keep all bugs out only some stink bugs still come in so does lady bugs and other things
Shannon awesome ideas especially love using it to clean the couch and inside the throw pillows!
I save my used dryer sheets for wreaths....yes it takes a lot of time to fill out but ....recycling... no cutting...so easy
Great tips, many I have never heard before. Thanks!
Love these hacks, Shannon! 👏👏👏And yes, I immediately ran downstairs and polished all the stainless steel in my kitchen. Was I supposed to use a used dryer sheet? It did a pretty good job until I got to the dishwasher but it has a rougher grain than my other appliances. I will try some Breezy brand from Dollar Tree. I use Gain for my laundry.
I will be given that a try with the dryer sheets for my car going to buy some dryer sheets to day thank you for the dryer sheets hacks
dryer sheets are great in mail box to keep spiters etc from setting up house keeping. I live in country so alot of critters are looking for new housing.
I save my use dryer sheets and use them to clean soap scum off my sink and bathtub. They work wonderfully
I've never used dryer sheets before, but I will now!!! I never knew how many ways to use them. Thank you!! New subscriber!❤❤❤
Good dryer sheets keeps ubdues drawer smelling gorgeous!
Thank you so much for all the ideas/hacks!!!! So useful!!!!!!!😊
another hack for dryer sheets, is during love bug season, take a dryer sheet, wet it and it takes the dead bugs right off your headlights. Not the paint on your car or the chrome just the headlights...
Thank you I'll try this hack today
♡♡♡ Awesome ideas with fabric softener sheets!
☆☆☆ BUT ONE WORD OF CAUTION: I wouldn't use fabric softener sheets for fire starters because you're releasing chemicals into the air. In addition, burning those chemicals may make them even more hazardous and I wouldn't roast anything you are going to eat, over a fire that was started with fabric softener sheets. Keep in mind that even used fabric softener sheets have chemicals in them as all the chemicals aren't used up.
I don't mean to be a downer, just wanted to give a word of caution to your viewers.
♡♡♡Thank you for sharing so many great ideas!
💓💓💓
I don't know of it's been mentioned, but they are great to use during static cling season for your clothes too. Wipe the inside of your skirt and blouse or on top of your slip or both. Pantyhose or tights too. Be sure and take one to work with you in case you need to touch up during the day.
You can also put a dryer sheet in a burnt, bucket pan. It draws out the but stuff and makes scrubbing a little easier.
Hi Shannon what great ideas I will have to try some of them 👍 TFS have a wonderful week ! God Bless you and your family !
What is TFS?
@@lauriey1518 thanks for sharing !
I knit and sew etc. So I have stashes of wool, fabrics, etc. I put a dryer sheet in with my stashes and it all smells divine to work with. When item is finished, washed etc I wrap in tissue paper and add the drier sheet. Then into a storage bag.... Smells fab.
I put them in the pillow slips and underneath the bottom sheet, inside duvet cover as we.... Always fresh
Wow this is so awesome, great ideas, now going to go buy dry sheets lol tfs. Big Thumbs Up 👍🥰🙏
Thank you for the great ideas, especially the bug repellent idea. Mosquitoes love me, so if this works I will love it.
Easy clean hairbrush tip. Soak brush in water with dryer sheet for about an HR or so. Brush rinses clean
Ha Ha! 😂A friend of mine gave me a couple of those wool balls to use in my dryer last week. (They do a nice job, by the way.) So I was wondering what I was going to do with my supply of dryer sheets. Now I know! WOW!! What a slew of wonderful ideas. Thank you so much. PEACE 💐💐
I’m sure you didn’t know the down side of dryer sheets; my daughter has multiple myeloma ; one of her son’s has had a brain tumor; and another son has a rare autoimmune disorder. ALL 3 of their doctors told them the biggest cancer causing item in the American home are dryer sheets.
I did like your ideas, but there are NO dryer sheets in my home.
😱😱😱!!!
I stopped using them years ago because they would leave a non removable "oil" stain on my clothes. I had no idea they could cause cancer. I hope your daughter and the children are doing better! So scarey
All ideas favorite
I am excited to try shining the stainless steel in my kitchen and bathroom. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful ideas. you don't even need to waste a dryer sheet I just use the lint from the dryer to start my fires
I add a little vaseline I get at Dollar Tree (or hand sanitizer) to the lint.
Why not add one the your vacuum canister to freshen the air while you vacuum?
I DO THAT. ALSO DROP THEN IN THE HOME FLOOR DUCTS
no
Good idea 💡
Yes, I’ve done that about 40some yrs. ago. Works well to. Static cling it’s good for that to.!!!
I've been doing that for yrs too, but its not something that lasts a real long time for me?? We have a doggie, so maybe that's why I have to change those more often. I line all my trashcans with them. It helps cut way down on trash odors.. I also add them to throw pillows, and one of my fave, is to add to add them to my pillowcase for our sleeping pillows....you fall asleep with that fresh scent, especially lavender scented ones which is very nice to go to sleep too. But, if you're sensitive to scents, in your pillow they can be pretty strong , so be sure to get a scent you love. For our pillows, I find Lavender to work the best.
I also add them to clothing a fresh laundered scent. I add a few under the seats of my car. In a couple of large baskets in my kitchen, full of silk flowers, I line my baskets with dryer sheets before placing my foam in, or I've used them on top of the foam and think that works even better.
There are probably more ways I use them that are escaping me at the moment, but when I first learned of the sweeper hack, I just started going crazy thinking of any & everywhere they can be used to freshen an area and its one of my favorite hacks!!
Oh, þone last one I read about recently but haven't applied it yet. I believe it was to cut the sheet in half, and push a half in your roll of toilet paper.....I haven't gotten around to placing just yet, but plan on giving it a try very soon! Seems there's just soo many ways to use them, to freshen up smaller areas, and larger areas too! And I loveee learning new ways to use them!! The ideas are just endless!!!!
So, hope at least a few of mine work for you too! Now, onto watching Shannon's ways of using them!!!
Happy Sheeting! 😊
Just a heads up for those with allergies. Dryer sheets can cause highly allergic reactions. Love that you found all these hacks, but use with caution.
Try Bounce Free. Great for those with sensitivities.
Great tips, love the mosquito repellent now for summer
Used dryer sheets dipped in nail polisher remover takes the polish off your nails quicker and easier than cotton balls, tissues or paper towels.
Use a cut up new dryer sheet , wet it and “stuff “ it into clogged faucets. Use a piece of cling wrap to secure and keep it wet along with a rubber band. Works wonderfully.
Dryer sheets are great also for cleaning mirrors and eyeglasses...
Never use paper towel, TP or dryer sheets on plastic lens of eyeglasses. Will scratch, per Optician’s advice.
WOW, great hacks
Love your hair, new cut and color!!
I already use some of these dryers hacks but I will definitely use all the other ones too. Thanks for sharing and the pillows are a great one to 🤗
Thank you 😊
My favorite was the bathroom because I was a housekeeper and I love to have everything clean
Amazed idea 👏👏👏👍
Great ideas.
love the push into a brush!!
Hi Shannon! If you want to take that fire starter up a notch and want to take some on a camping trip. Drip some candle wax on them as well. Or just use an old egg carton, dryer lint and/or old dryer sheets and the candle wax. Works great! I’ve been using dryer sheets in my car for years. I’ve always put them under my seats. So I’ve gotta try putting them in the vents! And the trash can one I do too. They work great in your underwear drawer too. Thanks for the tips!
❤️💜💚
Great tips.! Ty. Did you know that you can use dryer sheets on your pet’s fur ( wet dogs ) or just smelly dog from being out all day. Work’s great. I have an other tip for you, While we were out at the “trailer park”, I tried dryer sheets for cleaning the screens to. Amazingly really clean. Especially from smoking fire pits, takes that black smoke out like you wouldn’t believe. Give it a try even at your own home “screens”. Good luck on these.,let us know what you think. ❤️
Are you talking about window screen
@@terrytarpley2953 Hi Terry, sorry It took so long to catch up to you. When you subscribe to so many videos, it becomes very hard to bin watch.LOL. Yes, I did mean any window screen. I also discovered that any Lysol sheets, or any brand does a way better job. Way way better clean. Give it a try. Good Luck.!😉
Love these ideas!
The diy hack at 9:40, really be careful with this one,and only for outside use only, because the fabrics used (non cotton fabrics such as plastic based) in the lint that when burned will release chemicals that produce carcinogens. Overall, excellent uses for dryer sheets, especially the one that repels pesky flies and mosquitoes by placing unused dryer sheets in pockets or tucked in collar of shirts and jackets etc.. this one really does work. I’ve been using that method during may fly season, black fly season, when camping to fend off mosquitoes, small ants, and it also repels some wasps like the mud wasps. I like to always have a small box in car to easily grab a few sheets when out hiking or camping. Then I would reuse the sheets for other purposes until they fall apart or degrade, then I would use those bits in pottery or put pieces scrunched up in a glass jar and fill with essential oils and use as an air freshener that I place behind toilet, in car, closets, drawers and many other places. **So many uses out of one dryer sheet and its endless possibilities in recycling** 👍 *SUBSCRIBED* !!! 🔔 💖
Great hack tips using dryer sheets. Thank you
Thank for making this video 🧡 it im gonna have to try it 😊
Sincere thanks for these clever tips! I like your enthusiastic, energetic tutorial!

Your home is so clean love it!
Love the hacks! Also, your new hair looks awesome 🤩
Cool hacks and channel. Love your positive energy. You very beautiful
I’m excited to used them on the base boards. I been wondering if there was something simple for me to use. I think I might even try a small spot on the walls as well. We have light paint so I want to try it in a discreet area.
I also forgot about using them for mosquitos they love me and I’m tired of smelling like bug spray at work especially while it’s hot 🥵 outside!!
Thank you for all the wonderful tips on uses for dryer sheets
I already use the used dryer sheets for back of SOME OF STITCHING projects…and Love it…I have even. Made holders to keep them flat…BUT THIS was a wonderful video with a lot of other uses…THANK YOU SO. MUCH Sincerely Carmen Balko
Have you tried slicing a gel freshener to fit the vent clips?
I have used old dryer sheets on base boards but this gives me some good ideas.
I've been using the lint and toilet roll to start our camping fires. I make them ahead of time. Works like a charm or you can also use Dixie cups as well.
Me too! I also add a little of the melted wax from my Scentsy when changing scents. Been using this hack for years!💛
Great idea about the wax I didn't even think of that. Thank you!
Okay I've only done one of these but now I'm gonna try these put. Awesome tips!
I would be trying them tomorrow I love the way you clean the bathroom teps , the idea put them in your pocket keep the boats away it's great thank you. 👍💕
I think you mean bugs, not boats.
@@deliabravo3671 I meant for bugs..... When I am doing this, to be honest I'm half asleep because at the moment it is 11:00 at night so thank you and take care of yourself. 🤩
Excellent tips. Thank you so very much.

The hair brush hack just blew my mind! And running a dryer sheet thru my hair also! Hugs from Texas! ; )
Amazing, simply amazing!
