- One of my favourite tracks from one of my favourite Legend of Zelda games, Skyward Sword. The lyrics are in ancient Hylian, and this song is a mix of the orchestral version, the version Zelda sings, and the version you learn, which Fi sings.
Arrangement, harp and vocals are all by me.

The song isn't in an actual language. It has no real translation. In game, they tell you the lyrics, though.

the language of Zelda sounds almost like Irish Gaelic
I'm not sure I agree there (as a person who knows a good deal of Irish), but Hylian is a very beautiful language, and so is Irish :)
cowboy8555 I believe Hylian is based off of old japanese
I speak Irish myself and there is an occasional word that sounds a bit Irish like Solas (light) and phoenetically "shan doo", with Sean meaning old and Dubh meaning black or else the word Dom which is "to me". The rest is just gibberish!
Yeah, it does. (This is my opinion) I feel like Hylian sounds like a bit of Irish Gaelic and just a hint of Japanese.
For future reference: It's just "Irish" or "Gaeilge"

Awww thank you so much! Actually, for this video I had to record the vocals separately for sound quality purposes, but I do perform this live as well, and it is indeed surprisingly hard to sing and play at the same time ^_^

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. This is the single most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my entire life, and I listen to pretty much all genres of music, so there's lots of competition. They're no match. The harp playing is sublime and your voice is the audio equivalent of a star sky. I can't imagine any piece of music more perfect than this.

Sorry if this was asked already (it's incredibly difficult to search anything in YT comments) but what is the particular lever harp model you're playing on? The high registers sound nice and clean, which is impressive to me.
It's okay, I don't mind singing my harp's praises over and over again anyway! This is a Dusty String Ravenna 34, and it's the most amazing lever harp I have ever laid my hands on! Not only is the tone so wonderful and melodious, but it is also lightweight, has a built-in extendable leg (which allows me to play it standing or sitting as I please), and also a built-in pick-up mic which I can just plug into my recording soundbox - it has really revolutionised recording for me! And it's so affordable too! I can highly recommend this model :)
Thanks so much for your reply. I'm just an aspiring harpist who's never had an instrument to call my own, so I'm trying to gather as many experiences and recommendations as I can. I was looking at a Camac Excalibur as something that I would grow into and hope to see one in action at the upcoming Camac Festival, but it's not cheap and cost of entry is definitely a factor! I'm impressed by the Ravenna 34 and will have to keep it in mind. I was looking at it on the manufacturer's website and couldn't find any reference of the built-in mic pick-up you mentioned - could you explain how that part works? Thank you in advance. :)
Gathering info from other people's experience is always a good place to start! :) I have never tried the Camac Excalibur myself, but the Ravenna 34 far surpasses any other lever harp I have tried in terms of sound, volume and also weight (it is very lightweight and easy to handle. If you go to the harp model's page: manufacturing.dustystrings.com/harps/browse-models/ravenna-34 and click "options", you'll see all the features you can have installed on your harp :) I recommend the built-in mic and also the drop-down leg. The built-in mic means that it has 4 small microphones installed inside the body of the harp, to which you can connect either recording or amplification equipment and not worry about external noise, as the only sounds that will be recorded will be the harp strings. It really makes for a nice clean recording! I hope this helps :) Good luck!

@@schan263 I wound up getting a Blevins Reve 34 from the preowned market for quite a good price. Just a little blemished but very well worth what I paid for beginning my harp experience since it's very light for the number of strings. The takeaway I got from this was to always keep an eye on the used harp market for something that may fit your needs and budget just right.

Something about this version is magical and I tried to figure out what it is. So I realized that your singing, for me, doesn't sound like the goddess Hylia or princess Zelda, even if your voice is pretty clear. It sounds more like a normal Hylian-resident, waiting and singing in hope for the hero to appear and save the world. Your imperfection in singing and the simplicity of your harp making this cover perfect. It gives me chills
