  • Receiving God's love and living in continual power of that love is one of the greatest privileges that we have as believers. Yet at the same time, it can be one of the most challenging areas for people to experience.
To live with a heart fully alive, we must know how to receive the love of God. Our hearts were meant to live fully connected to great love that He has for us personally.
For a long time, experiencing God's love has become complicated in Christianity. Too much emphasis has been put on what we can do or do for God to experience His love. We've been taught to perform for His love or even serve others, to gain a sense of His love.
Others try so hard to connect to God's love by spending more time in prayer and fasting. These are great habits, yet if we position ourselves to do something in order to earn God's love, we missed the entire way that God's love works.
    Learning to Receive God's Love
When engaging the love of God, we have to position ourselves differently than what people are used to. Instead of trying to do something to earn or build up a sense of God's love, we have to posture our hearts to receive.
This is an unfamiliar position for most people, because love was conditioned as only something you do or earn. Yet the Gospel communicates a free gift that must be received freely.
In this episode, we want to encourage you to move from performing for God's love and learn to receive it. In addition, we will share some habits and tools that will help move into the power of receiving the life giving love that the Father has for you.
