I am on this quest for knowing the Father's Love. I know the Word, live wholeheartedly for Jesus, and seek to tell the world about Him... but love is a foreign concept for me. The only way I know how to relate love toward God is by obeying the Word. Ixve prayed every prayer I could, gotten prayer and biblical therapy, and tried to forgive (which is also kinda a foreign concept) everyone I could think of... I still "feel" nothing. I cant even "feel" love for my own family. However I can absolutely feel compassion for every hurting person I see and pray for them for healing and wholeness. It's been like this for my entire life. I do great with serving God but as was mentioned, I am stuck in this orphan/works mentality.
I thought this was my autism which seems progressive actually... but I see so many autistic children who relate to God more closely than most normative people. I do not want to be one of those that he spoke about as being one of the broken people trying to tell others about Jesus... cuz "i have not love... clanging symbol..." 1 Cor 13. So... this is my 2nd time listening and its still not sinking in. I deeply want to know Godxs love for me, not just know that it is a fact that He loves all people and thereby being a "people" I fall under that category by default. And He hasn't healed my aspbergers style of cognitive tendencies or any of the other so called disorders... So, I am just stuck but still committed to walking out my calling and service to Jesus till He takes me Home. I am bought with the Blood of Jesus and He has a No Return policy so He is stuck with me at this point. Itxs just frustrating and I think this only gets fixed supernaturally by the Holy Spirit if I am ever able to actually experience what love is or feels like. Till then I walk by faith.
I love the way John shares this message. So tenderly, yet with authority. What a blessing.
So foundational yet so hard to hold on to in a performance based church environment. Thank you John for always carry the messages of the fathers heart towards us.
I sometimes get to share the Father's Heart with people for the first time as I help them heal from trauma and abuse, and it's always so amazing watching Love overwrite the lies and false beliefs that they have been carrying their whole lives, often from religious leaders and sources.
“You can trust lovers to carry a greater anointing!” Love that! This is what happens when we buy oil from Him and keep our lamps burning! 🪔 ❤
Is the church, all the parts, the broken body....
and love puts them together...

I pray that I may truly receive the love of God or just one glance of the face of Jesus!
