YNW Melly's Lawyer Blasts State's Case, Urges Jury to Set Rapper Free in Closing Argument

  • During his closing argument, defense attorney Stuart Adelstein attempted to poke holes in the state’s theory that YNW Melly killed his best friends, YNW Juvy and YNW SakChaser, because he was angry, greedy, and wanted to be initiated into the Bloods gang. “There is a lack of evidence,” he said. “There is a conflict in the evidence. The evidence itself and the investigation itself stinks. I’d use another word but I’d probably be held in contempt.”

From what ive seen, i think the defense did a good job considering what theyre up against. They see everything against them before the trial and have to know which way to fight the case. Reasonable doubt is really the only thing they could attack to free him. For everyone saying the defense is terrible, what should they have done differently??🤔

I’m with Melly’s attorney without all the rambling. He made valid points very serious valid statements about the DA’s and the incredible investigation the detectives performed as well the witnesses repented statements it lacks to an entirety to prove guilt. The defense should have slammed the door on the state since they opened it with hidden text messages from Quando Rondo being… he is linked to other murders and being incarcerated as this trial was ongoing for other crimes. As said too much evidence is missing to prove guilt.
