During the memorial weekend was realy slow was the worst i ever seen this past sunday .no customer will want to spend 30 to 40 dollars for cold food that needs to be adressed and sorry once the restaurant completes the food its left sitting on there counter to get cold .no the stupid bag dont revive the cold food into hot food

Find another gig job. Doordash and Uber play to many games with delivery drivers. Customers are not paying tips, Gas? cant rely on write tax write offs. It's a dead cat.
I know this is somewhat off the topic, but what do you think about Favor, if you have any knowledge of them? I have use them 3x so far and really like them. They deliver for HEB a local texas grocery and a host of restaurants,
I’ve heard of them but I’m pretty sure they’re only in Texas so I haven’t been able to test them out

Are gas prices a concern for gig drivers when they can claim fuel expenses as a deductible? # pay now tax credit later
Deductible amount has been constant or slightly lowered. Essentially the cost of doing business is more expensive but the write offs will not increase when using the standard deduction as it’s a constant rate per mile.

There are two ways to go. Claim the mileage or itemize the drivers expenses and claiming the fuel expense would fall in with deducting the total gas bill.

Price of oil hit 147 in 2008 Which popped the stock market. If oil goes sky high the fed will be forced to raise interest rates and then the stock market will go below march 2020 levels. There is no free lunch.
Yup the fed is really banking on things not heating up that much all the while foreign entities are trying to exacerbate supply chain issues with cyberattacks - what a time to be alive!
Actually interest rates went down significantly in 2008 2009. The real problem now is they are so low not any room to lower them left

The solution is that there should be a $20.00 minimum order requirement and a minimum delivery charge of $7.00 per delivery. So the quantity of orders will drop and that will solve the driver shortage problem. But it will also increase the amount of money that drivers earn for each delivery to help deal with rising gas prices. Yes it's harsh for the consumer but it's the best way to solve this problem
Yea that would work not sure if it would be as profitable for the apps but definitely a good solution
Not really an option then a majority will just stop having it delivered and pick it up.
