Leone is where I am from and I am so appreciative to you for showing this. Poor Uncle AL, I hope he gets his stuff back. God Bless AM. Samoa

I grew up just about a mile from there.
After all these years, despite the devastation, I can still recognize the place.

I remember being part of the village cleanup crew. It was a huge disaster.

i used to live there. glad i left when i did. i knew a lot of the people in leone. some of my friends owned the post office building and store. (dead?) others were living near them. pritchards, and panama, several others. still, to this day, i do not know very much.

Okay people need to realise that when it comes to things like this there is nothing such as stealing. I mean how do you know what is yours & what us some1 elses? Anyways have a heart people & not think of the so called stealing but look forward 2 what you all can do 4 each other. It takes 1 person 2 be hopeful for our beloved Samoa 2 rebuild. But with many hopeful souls soon Samoa will be restored! God bless every1 affected by this disaster! Samoa muamua le atua! Faka muamua ae famili!

Sad that our people have gone the opposite way from whence we came. We used to help one another without a second thought, and now we steal and loot from those around us. I love Samoa and my culture but this is.......

By the way...what an idiot for saying such things...geesh...I just realised that dude it wasnt just you who lost your house. A whole lot of people did too!!! You are very lucky your daughter and your wife is still alive. Many have lost a lot of family due to this event. I trust all will be good. No matter what pain we all went through Samoa will always be imprinted within our hearts and no matter where all Samoans go we always find a way back to our roots!!!
