GIRL! WE KNEW YOUR MOM WAS NOT PERFECT, THATS WHY WE LOVE HER! She was relatable, she was real, she was Not perfect and talked about her mistakes and didn't pretend to be perfect or have a perfect life. We loved her and her kids when she was alive and did ALL that crazy shit, and we still Love her and her kids.

Agree!! Love Jenni but I dont understand why people think Jenni couldnt make mistakes. I still think Jenni had the wrong idea about Chiquis & Esteban being together. Not just to save her image but Jenni did seem like the type of person who just had a problem admitting she was wrong. Does that make her a bad person NO, that just was the way she was unperfect like all of us.

@@72Guera Exactly, people forget that she was human. The negative thing that Jenni had was that she didn’t take accountability for all the wrongs she did. I think she was wrong what she did to chiquis, and wrong for not telling jenicka the truth of her parental linage. I think if jenni was still alive she would’ve admitted her faults, tell the truth, and would have healed along way.

I’ve always asked myself if it was the right thing to do to let it be known that the man that was raising my 3 yr old wasn’t the bio dad. Ever since I found out about the dna results I didn’t let it be known until 4 months later I felt like I was drowning in a cup of water knowing about it and not saying anything to anyone until I had enough and I let both families know about the situation after that I felt so relief.

Thank you for telling your story, as someone who recently experienced a similar situation, I now know my feelings then were completely valid. After 21 years of having my dad and the only person I ever knew, I found out that he wasn’t my biological father. The feelings of being different and questions of why I didn’t look like my siblings were finally answered. It was and still is a rollercoaster of emotions and though I had answers to questions I’ve asked my whole life, I now had more questions of “who I am”, and “where do I come from”. Unfortunately like you I didn’t have my mom to tell me the full story. I later discovered that my biological father didn’t want me and denied my existence before I was even born. Honestly that hurt to hear and was the only time I wished I never knew. I grew angry and sad that he didn’t even try and moved on like nothing happened. With time that anger and saddens turned into being appreciative because had that not happened I wouldn’t have the man I call “dad” today. Coming up on 2 years of finding out I still know nothing about him. One part of me still wonders what he or his family might look like and if I resemble them. Another part of me doesn’t give it a second thought, I don’t care to know. I have my dad, a man that took me in and showed me unconditional love as well as his family that treated me no different. On the hard days I try to remember that, I’m loved by people who chose to be in my life. Though it hasn’t been easy it’s like you said God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. 💜

i feel like your mom did what she thought was best - whether she was right or wrong she had the best intentions . i also think she would have told you when she knew you would understand unfortunately things happen and she didn’t get the time to do so . and anyone that asks why you chose to talk about it needs to know it’s because people judge or assume who you are or what you’re like without knowing what you have been through first hand . best of luck to you beautiful ❤

Hi Jenicka, you’re so brave for sharing your story the last 10 minutes of your podcast really hit home you ask such a very important question. I am a mother in the same situation my son is 15 and I just now in his life informed him the man he’s always known to be his father is not his biological father, and he is now processing the same. I felt like it was important to wait until he was at an age that he would understand, but didn’t want to wait for him to be too old and have resentment and or anger towards me. I tell him I would rather had told you as a teenager rather than a 30 year man later on in life, every buddy deserves to know the truth of who they are, and where they come from, and it’s not our decision as parents to take that from our children. I’m sorry your mom didn’t tell you sooner I’m sure she had valid reasons for her decisions, but know that as a mother, she must have been protecting you. it’s clear in all the videos and shows that she was one dedicated mother, who loved her children very much. I hope this message brings you peace just remember you speaking on such an important topic is very brave you should be very proud of yourself!❤

Thank you for sharing this, just please you & your husband both let you son know how much you love him & that you'll always be there for him. The teen years are a hard struggle on themselves, especially for boys, now adding this revelation can be extra hard. Sometimes teens love you so much, they put a strong face, not to worry you, but they're really struggling underneath. Blessings to you, your son & all your family!!!!

As a mom it hurts, it’s scary! Because the last thing we want to do is hurt our babies, let them down or for them to hate us you know.. but deep down, personally myself I could not keep it a secret forever. I don’t ever want them to resent me for it. We cannot control the outcome but we can let the truth set us free. I told my son last year who was 8 years old. There’s not ever going to be a “right time” to do it but I chose this time being that my son was capable of understanding and express in return how he feels. I have yet to tell his little sister as well that the man who’s raised her since she was 1 is not her biological father but he is their DAD. My kids love this man regardless and I know they will forever love him as he is the only dad they know. It’s not who “made” you but who was always there and raised you ❤ Your mom never wanted to hurt you & the Lord knows she loved you endlessly. I admire your strength and compassion Jenicka. I know your mom and dad are looking down at you, beyond proud!

I told my son when he was 7/8. And I think it was the best choice. Thankfully, my ex husband and his family never treated him any differently. And to this day, my suegra (ex suegra technically, but she’s stuck with me forever ❤) always says “That’s my grandson. And he will always be.” I was very blessed in that department.
As for me, my mom always told me. I knew since I can remember. I met him as an adult. I don’t have a relationship with him. My choice. That’s a whole story. Lol
    Anyway….
You’ll always be his princess. I hope this helps you find yourself. Sending you lots of positive vibes and happy thoughts! ♥️

So my step dad raised me since I was 2 years old. I knew him as dad my whole life. Im sure your mom wanted to wait to tell you when you were older and more mature to sit you down and tell you. Im so sorry you had to find out this way 😭

I’m old enough to know as I’ve met his real dad and I want to tell him so bad specially because he does question why he and his kids don’t look like his dad. This a very though situation. I’ve always know from the whispers. It always bothered me but I was forced to be around these certain people who questioned who my father was… I hated it. I never cared for the man but I was always uncomfortable around these people who knew something but not the whole story… my story. When I had my son I need my mom to tell me! I needed to hear it from her. After I forced her to tell me it did feel like a weight lifted of my shoulders and I had closure on the topic. It wasn’t a secret anymore. I understood it was painful for her but I needed to know.
