Thanks for showing the Vatican city. Let me make few things clear for everyone. There are no tickets required to see Vatican city. Also you don't need any tickets to see St. Peter's square and St. Peter's basilica. You need to buy tickets to go on top of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. If you are lucky to visit St. Peter's square on Sundays, you might be able to see Pope as well because does masses on Sundays if he is in town. No need to get confused with Vatican city and Vatican museums. You need to buy tickets in advance for Vatican museums and Sistine Chapple museums. You cannot take any pictures in Sistine Chapple because those pieces of arts are so precious. These museums have art work from 11th century to 19th century, I believe. From 11th century to 14th century was still Medieval times and then comes Renaissance period from 14th century to 19th century which is considered revival of art era in Italy and then spread to the rest of Europe. It is this time of Renaissance when great artists like Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci were born and gave their contribution to the world. So when we go to these museums, we see great work of art by these great artists. Sorry for the long write up on history because it was necessary to explain the importance of these museums. During this (Medieval & Renaissance) time all art works was revolving around Christianity, that is the reason we see all paintings on Christianity only. Rome has lot more to see than what Ripan and Khushi have shown. The other thing to remember is that Vatican city is sacred to Roman Catholic Christians only and not all Christians of the world.
