    Purchased a Shoulderok about a month ago, within the first week my shoulder pain was completely gone, when benching I can feel more supporting muscles firing and cannot thank Chris enough for creating this wonderful product.

    Wow, the shoulder is such a complicated deal. I've never heard of the acromion (Eric couldn't remember the word, I don't blame him) actually pushing down on a tear unless the tear was insanely inflamed. Then again, all the bones and muscles on Eric seem larger lol

      There's a guy at my gym that does that. He uses a suicide grip when he does the strap thing for safety. But I know that's not going to do jack shit with big weight.

  • @seancavey5220
    @seancavey5220 8 років тому +2

    It's probably insanely hard to do this without flaring the rib cage and hyper-extending your back. What do you suggest to do when you start to hyper-extend and flare your ribs? Should you just stop, get tight again, and resume?

    • @flawtyjohn133

      Do a trap/rhomboid/lat/pec lacrosse ball release.
      Then test your rom by bringing the arm up in a reverse chopping motion. If you can't get straight up/ close to without losing torso posture then you should work on that. 'Shoulder dislocations' are a great way to train tension in the torso while allowing arm movement.

    I've been doing halos (also known as crushing halos) with a kettlebell for years. Seems to do good things for my shoulders. Is this in any way comparable to using the Shoulderok? Seems like a very similar movement.

      i also think it has a lot to do with the big amounts of food these guys have to eat. i always thought that dan green had a gh gut, but after seeing pics of him taken just before his weigh in for rum 8, i started looking at it differently. after not eating much or at all for 24 hours or so his stomach was really flat.

    • @zigzzagz5732
      @zigzzagz5732 9 років тому

      No, I don't believe so. You can try this with a sledgehammer though. It's of the same basic shape. Most anyone should be able to get their hands on one and if you find it helps then spring for one of the Duffin creations. I think he's worth supporting. I'll be trying it with a sledge myself first to see if it helps my shoulder issues before I plunk my hard earned cash down. But if it helps I'll get one since the weight can be changed and the handle is knurled.
