Join Tom and Stace as we take a walk around the beautiful village of Goathland! Home to many filming locations of the popular British TV show Heartbeat, Goathland also has an original steam train station, which was used as a set for scenes in Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. The five mile walk we completed passes through Beck Hole, before finishing off at the stunning Mallyan Spout, the highest waterfall in North Yorkshire!

Northern England looks incredibly beautiful. The nature also seems quite similar to here in Scania (southernmost Sweden). So it's no wonder I guess that the Vikings felt so at home over there!
Loved that Tom and Stace,what a lovely film with some beautiful scenery and on such a lovely day,great to see you out and about again,what a lovely treat to watch,I wasn't expecting that,the waterfall was a great find but I don't blame Stace for not risking the path to it,looking forward to the vlog you mentioned in a couple of weeks,stay safe and thankyou for making and sharing this,watched it on the telly and one I'm sure I'll rewatch again and again.

Many, many thanks for this lovely video. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it. We spent a lot of time on the North York Moors based in Goathland. Visited all the places you mention here. We're Americans (Boston, MA) but love Britain and travel over 1 to 2 times a year. Can't wait to get back when all this madness is over. Thanks again.

i'm a bit late to the party, but the best thing about this video for me, apart from the North York Moors, is seeing younger people out walking and enjoying the british countryside, good on yer.....

Aww lovely to see you again out and about. This was absolutely beautiful what lovely countryside. I really love waterfalls when we went to snowdonia back in 2015 I literally was blown away with how many there was . There is a beautiful waterfall in Tintagel north Cornwall it comes down onto the beach. Thankyou for sharing this wonderful place with us. Take care stay safe love to you both Tracey xxx

I go on the train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Grosmont to Pickering and you go through Goathland Station and it’s stunning

its lovely over there goathland ive been twice beautiful countryside although never been on the walk you did been to the station far as ive been never knew that thats where they did harry potter scene though brilliant. great video guys nice to see people actually go there like yourselves 😊😊😊
Beautiful video. as a big fan of Heartbeat love seeing the locations,plus the beautiful countryside,used do a good share of walking, stay away from cow fields with calves as some are very protective of their young and will attack you if they think you are a threat to them

Lovely place in summer. We've been doing similar walks in the peak district. Only stacy can dream about parmo's on a walk, then walk with live chickens🤣👍. Great countryside and water footage. Roll on july when we can all enjoy a pint. Cheers🍻👍👍👍

Both of you looking healthy and well. Myself and my hubbie have been doing a lot of walking too. I have managed to lose 2 stone in lockdown! I used to watch heartbeat and it is great to see the green where they filmed.

Thanks guys. Absolutely love Goathland and always visit on my trips from Adelaide, South Australia. Never been to Beck Hole though and that little pub so i'll stick that on the list for next time.
Love Whitby too. Gonna have to go to a Goth weekend one day. Sounds alot of fun.
By the way, i have to correct you on one thing, Goathland Station isn't platform 9 3/4 in the movies, it's Hogsmeade Station. Hogsmeade is where the Hogwarts Express ends its journey north from Platform Nine-And-Three-Quarters, (Kings Cross). The kids then walk from Hogsmeade up to Hogwarts School.

GOATHLAND station was used in the first 3 harry potter films not just the 1st film, also this station was used and filmed in the tv series of All creatures great and small known as Mannerton station

GOATHLAND station is not the station used for the platform 9.3/4 as that platform was filmed at Kings Cross station and the GOATHLAND station was used for the HOGSMEADE station where they got off for Hogwatrs school 🏫

Wasn’t it rumoured, that when the North Yorkshire Moors Railway preservation, was proposed, that the ministry of defence, secretly favoured retaining some of steam engines, semaphore signalling & telegraph systems, etc. Fearing that a nuclear first- strike on the nearby, RAF Fylingdales Radar station would affect the more vulnerable Transistorised circuitry, used in modern equipment ..
Interestingly, during a winter of exceptionally deep snow, the RAF personnel , Marooned for weeks in the , Fylingdales Radar station, and desperate, escaped on foot , to Goathland Station, to be rescued by the NYMR , and taken home by train !
Hooray , for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, its not just a pretty place !
elo tom & stace i am yorkshire born & bred i own an ex police car which the goathland local bobby had from new in 2009 so you could say i have a little bit of goathland in my hands every time i turn the key keep smileing
MALLYAN SPOUT is not the highest waterfall in North Yorkshire as its claimed that the HARDRAW FORCE is the highest single drop waterfall in North Yorkshire which stands at an estimated 100 feet, as MALLYAN SPOUT is only 70 feet,

Hi there Tom and Stace, Sorry to be a pain but even though trains are not running to the public please don't stand around in the middle of crossings like at I think 7.35 it was. Please cross over and then talk to camera once across please. I am not having a go or anything just protecting your safety as maintenance trains do sometimes run when the line is closed to public and you might be looking at the station and a Diesel is quietly rumbling towards you behind you.
