This OST was literally perfect. When it started playing quietly creeping up on us as Levi was about to scare the living sh$1t out of Zeke. It was almost as if the song was Levi it was insane. This was one of the best scenes I’ve ever experienced in an anime, and it wasn’t just the animation, or just the strength of the character, it was the entire MOMENT. The emotion, the back story, the revenge. The plot leading up to this. Then Levi didn’t even get the satisfaction of killing Zeke, it was just painfully beautiful I can’t express it properly.
Came back here again after the latest Season 4 episode. Years later and this track still gives me goosebumps. Whether it's Levi vs. Beast Titan or The Resistance vs. Yeagerists, this song hits you good.

The entire song up to 3:29 the way I view it, is a glimmer of hope, the worst loss humanity has faced thus far, but matched with what was so, sooo close to a huge victory to counter it, but, like always the eldians on paradis were always two steps behind. So the transition at 3:29, when Levi realizes it was a failure and the entire plan was futile, and his promise was broken, the music matches that perfectly, a crescendo of basically unbelievable, unbearable rage, insanity, emptiness, maybe some guilt and tiredness Edit: also, not maybe definitely massive guilt and exhaustion, but matched with a crazy amount of will after what just happened. Another edit: Fuck me this is wonderful,,, 3:00 this percussion, just so chilling, literally the fate of all humanity is resting on his actions in his head here
The one played in The Final Season Part 2 is The Weight of Lives, which is the original version of this ost. I personally think that The Weight of Lives hits better along with its name
People complaining about this OST need to understand that it couldn’t be loud like some of the others as Levi’s attack was essentially a sneak attack and this OST showed this perfectly. It’s a top tier OST so idk why people complained about it
