- In this video, master-sawyer, Dave Boyt, shares his experience with his Norwood LumberPro HD36 and how you can increase its versatility by adding one or more log deck crossbunks to better handle logs of different lengths.
Kit includes one cross bunk, mounting brackets and hardware. (Item No. LM34-CBKIT)

You made some nice lumber from both of those logs. Good job Dave!
That's what I like about sawmilling-- I enjoy the challenge, and there is usually something interesting inside.
Yep agree. Thanks. Cheers.
Just added an extra cross bunk to my lm29 a week a go.
Hello Dave Im sure you have experience with the old LM2000 on the way it wiggles around in big logs. How does the Hd 36 do as it looks like it has beafier build.
Hi, Tom. Actually, I've never run the LM2000, so I can't give you a good comparison. The HD36 doesn't have a problem like that, as long as the logs are securely clamped. If the log can rock even a little bit in the clamps, it can build up a resonance as you cut and shake the whole mill. Usually, backing off on the cutting pressure reduces the sideways pull of the blade against the log, and that solves the problem. In some cases, I'll stop and tighten down the clamps, or even drive a logging wedge under each side of the log to chock it in place to hold it better. Once you get a flat side down against the crossbunks, the log can't rock and roll, there is no problem. Hope this helps with your LM2000.
