My parents collected Red's clown lithographs. Still have several hanging in our house today. His comedy was genuine and clean for everyone to enjoy. This interview was great in that we could see the real man behind the comedy. His love of country, people, and especially his wife was so refreshing. Reminded me of growing up in the 50 ' s when life was simple. Thank you!
Red Skelton was the best of the best. These are the kind of shows that should never have gone away. They were clean wholesome, honest entertainment!! I love you Red Skeleton!!
i bet that was so true..That ..it was a pleasure going to work when he was there... He was funny meaning his humor was priceless and he just seemed like a nice gentle man to all....i Loved to listen to him........Thanks for sharing these video's...Thanks Vince......
I feel so sad when I watch his interviews because I miss seeing him so much I loved him so much he was one of a kind you Red will always be a part of my life RIP I love u
When I was 16 years old I got tickets to the taping of his show at the CBS studios in Hollywood. He really went out of his way to entertain the studio audience. He did stunts, and stories for us while cameras and stage crew were setting up for the next scene to be taped.I didn't know at that time how special he treated us until after going to many other taped shows over the years I saw how neglected the audience was by most host celebrities. Red Skelton truly loves people.
I saw him years ago in the 80's, but the best memory I have is when I would sit on the floor by my dad's chair and watch Red Skelton on black and white t.v. He sure was awesome.
Thank you so much for posting this, those were the days. Red Skeleton what a humble man he is not was is, because in my heart ♥ he is still alive, so talented.
Thank you so much for posting this. I loved his TV shows when I was a kid. I always remember his way with laughter...always lovingly remembered....Thank you Red.
Thank god everything was good with the world when he made us laugh. Watch him as a kid in the 60s .he didnt have to say a word.bless his soul may his pledge of allegiance all ways be the nations cherished treasure.and his memory never die.
Red Skelton was very handsome in all his 40/50's films. Very tall and a nice shade of red hair. Female stars like Ann Sheridan said they used to have an absolute ball working with Red. She said the cast/crew all looked forward to coming to work each day because of him.
I have now watched all 3 of 3 parts. I REALLY ENJOYED IT. I know these are older post but for someone like me it doesn't really matter. Red Skelton has always been my favorite comedian. I remember watching him on tv when I was really young. I don't watch much tv now at all because like Red said, its not very clean, and everything is intended to make you buy something. ( or feel worried ) I am very glad to have watched this. THANK YOU. 😎🇺🇸
WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From a mad keen 74yo Aussie fan. What a great human being & a fantastic performer. Red will never be forgotten.
A truly great and gentle man in a hurry to be about living his life. I watched his shows when i was a kid always funny and memorable. We truly lost someone great when he passed.
Very intelligent man and funny!! Thank you Mr. Skelton. You were one of Americas greatest true genuine people that made us laugh about the simple things in life. RIP
🥀Amazing Man! I love these shows they take me back to reality plus I never knew he had to wear brace's or play baseball lol. I agree with his talking about how disrespectful about things he was talking about. He was Blessed with his scene of humor🥀🙃🥀✌
Was there anything this man couldn't do? I would love to hear some of his music (perhaps that music at the end was his). I assume it was muzak, still he sold it. Paintings. Short stories. TV comedy, Movies. I wish they had gone more into how he composed his music. From what I understand he needed little sleep and had to fill up the hours! He was really articulate too; never stopped talking and made sense throughout. I never heard about his leg problem. He wore leg braces for 35 years or so? Yet he moved around quite well on his shows!
Thanks so much for posting this interview with Red. It was great hearing him talk about his life and work. He mentioned short stories that he had written and sold through mail order. I wonder if there is any way to find copies of these. I would love to read them.
Some say that acting, resembles lying. The difference is, when stripped of makeup, costumes, actions, and attitudes, these portraits, by Mr. Skelton, are presentations of unquestionable truths, unlike fear that would remain hidden, the truth combined with art seeks, instead to reveal, itself, under the mask.
We still all love you red and God bless you always said this and mean it the United States was a great country during these times God I Wish I Could Turn Back Time vote for Trump drain the swamp
