Hello thank you for the video, I've actually done my Bachelors in Microbiology from India is it possible for me to get into DPT?
I really hope I get a reply from you ..its very imp for me to know whether dpt or masters in physiotherapy is better for me....Im doing my bpth from india
I know you need atleast a masters to become a professor but does anyone know if I can become a Kinesiology instructor at a community college with a doctor of physical therapy degree ?
Unfortunately I didn't know what I wanted to do out of highschool, BUT it's never too late. This is what I want to do, and I'm going to work as hard as I can, taking courses year round, doing all I can to get it done as soon as I can.
How are you doing
How are you doing?
is it hard? And what we study in Physical Therapist?
Where did you get your masters
hello, hope you answer!!
there are a couple of colleges that have a program where you study 4 years to earn bachelor’s in physical therapy
can you be a physical therapist after it? or it is obligatory to get the doctorate of 3 years?
In the US the DPT is the only option to become a Physical Therapist now. Thanks for your comment.
@@PTProgress oh okay! thank youuu
Do I have to go to four college to become a physical therapist?
Hay quá
Hey Tim, I’m kind of on the same path as you. I have masters in accounting. So if I choose to pursue dpt. It’ll take 3yrs?
hopefully. im on the same path as well, i just finished my bachelors in business - MIS, and now I want to try something else
So I can’t just get a bachelors and be done?
Nope. 3 more years after your bachelor.
And I can’t do masters in physical therapy?!
Good jobs take a lot of work to get. Still though with that bachelor's you can find a good job with that regardless
Hey..I am from India.. currently doing my bsc in clinical nutrition and dietetics..was thinking bout a Dpt or a physiotherapy pre-reg msc... could u pls help me out with this...m I eligible for dpt (abroad) after bsc in clinical nutrition and dietetics.
Did you get an answer
I am a clinical pharmacist
I would love to learn dpt
Is it possible to work as a pt with a bachelors degree and then complete your masters a few years later
Not in America, only DPT now
Dpt is tough or not to clear papers
So i hope this question doesn't come off as dismissive of all the hardwork, studying, financial commitment, & time that professional physical therapists put in. But say you're someone who's a little older.
Maybe feels like 6-7 years to achieve the academic credentials is a little too long at this stage in life, & doesn't want to incur such a huge student loan debt. Are there any positions in the physical therapy field that might only require a 2 year degree or trade school certificate? Some way i could be involved helping physical therapists while at the same time working with patients?
Same boat+
I think PTA is a little shorter
It’s three years
Hi, I'm hoping you notice this..
I am 100% sure that I want to go into physical therapy. I'm currently a junior in high school at 17 years old. My grades haven't always been that great especially not in middle school but I know that this is what I have my mind set on. I don't think I care to much about what college I get into, I just wanna meet the requirements of my state (RI) to become a PT. We're obliviously 2 incredibly different people so i ask is the work behind it worth it??? And do you think that HONESTLY I could get through it??
Grizzz hi there! Do you know much about the difference in schooling for PT and PTA? Both work directly with patients and if you like the idea of getting into physical therapy sooner with less debt and in just 2 years with an associates degree, being a PTA might be a good option for someone who isn’t thrilled with the years and years of more school. Have you seen @antoniosanson channel? He’s a PTA and shares a lot about becoming a PTA vs PT.
I don’t know what todo. I did a 4 year college Criminal Justice Associate but I really would like to come a physical therapist. I feel I am told to start all over
Do you think someone should become a pta before a pt? Please respond🙏🏽
No, it's not necessary. You can go that route, but most people just complete a bachelor's degree then go right into a DPT.
How many fees ?@@PTProgress
I have a bachelor degree in philosophy and now I want to become a physical therapist, how long does it take?
3 Years in a DPT program
Please notice this question, 4 YEAR undergrad is in college ?
Yes, 4 years of undergrad plus 3 years of DPT grad school to become a PT.
Thank you.... 😊😊😊
Is it possible to have a bachelor's in nursing and then go to pt school with that degree? or would one need to get a bachelor's in kin first?
Yep, that’s possible! You can major in anything but you also need to complete the pre-reqs for the program you apply to.
Tim, I currently have a general AA degree, a wife and 2 year old , working full time and taking classes part time. I’m 29 years old and I want to pursue this career but I am intimidated by the time it will take and the amount of debt that could be accumulated. What is my best path forward?
Become a PTA. Significantly less debt, possibly none. You can pretty much do everything except an initial eval, which is time consuming anyways. Still make 50-60k in outpatient PT or 70k+ in home health as a PTA.
Basically past 30, it’s not worth it. Unless you start early in life, or can get your bachelors in 2 years then go in to dpt for 3 years. Go into a trade.
Is there a bachelor in physical therapy?! Or not
Not in the United States
In Australia 🇦🇺 it only takes 4 years ! You enter the Bachelor of a Physiotherapy after graduating High school and complete 4 years and you are a Physiotherapist ( Physical Therapist)
