I save the eggshells and crush them. Spread them about my tomatoes along with the used coffee grounds...

Instead of eggs. Get a 40 lb bag of pelletized lime. It will “sweeten” the soil and only costs about $4. It is near pure calcium from lime stone. Get it at your hardware store.

I've been doing the same technique to my 2x12x16 retaining wall around my pool and my 4x8 platform deck, barn door I love the look. I used linseed oil too.

You asked, soooo......I think the post need some more burning. ESP since thy are going into the ground. They need to be pretty thick on the burn for added protection.

I use bone meal for calcium before planting, then save egg shells and coffee grounds as compost for the following year's compost.
" Are eggs high in calcium?
Is there any calcium in eggs? Basically, Egg fully loaded with High-quality Protein, Vitamin, Minerals, fat also some other nutrients. On the other hand, If you say for Calcium, Egg has little amount of Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Vitamine E many more. However, Eggs play an important role for getting High-Quality Protein." The protein helps the garden some also but I prefer to eat my eggs and save the shells.

You might rather save your eggs for breakfast and feed the shells to the birds. Egg shells do not leach calcium into the soil. They take many years to break down to a form where the plants roots can absorb the nutrients. Better to eat your eggs and use Bone Meal for your plants.

Most worms in Michigan are invasive and can be detrimental to gardens and Forest ecosystems.
I'm going to have to question that my friend. Grubs maybe....but worms help break down materials in the soil.
Price of eggs to day l don't think so...6 organic eggs are $9.59, regular dozen eggs are $10.69...l'll eat the egg and crush to shells instead
