When i think about it Zou probably the smallest country or island in One Piece, there's no under ground to hide, you can traveling from the front gate to the capital city in 3-4 hours before night (since they arrive when sunset) the whole country almost perish from poison gas, and you can move to another kings territory in one hour or something
People always say Zoro is the vice captain, even though we have yet to see him take on actual leadership roles. Vice Captain and First Mate aren't exactly one in the same.
well, zoro does act like a leader from time to time and even an advisor to luffy, like when he told luffy that usopp must apologies at water 7,or when he told chopper to man up at long ring long land.
Oh come on, not this again. Sanji proudly represent himself as a cook. He take high pride on that. Having this debate is ridiculous because even Sanji didn't want that
A lot of fans don't understand that the crew doesn't have a hierarchy except for the captain. Zoro is only considered the vice captain by those outside the crew. Within the crew, there's no ranking system, and Zoro isn't referred to as the vice captain by the rest of the Straw Hats; he's only called the combatant and first mate. He's not the official vice captain or second in command of the crew. Sanji has shown leadership qualities just like Zoro, emphasizing the collective nature of leadership within the crew rather than their being a designated single second in command figure they listen to.
@@IceQueenRukia. Yes, other ships have vice captain, but Straw Hat Pirates don't. Luffy is the absolute captain. And this is not the first time Luffy ordered his crew to take control without him. In Baratie, Luffy also ordered Usopp to go catch Nami, with Zoro, Johnny and Yosaku, while Luffy stay in Baratie with Sanji
The comment about blaming Caesar for making the weapon in the first place is really interesting when you consider that this is so similar to what happened with Franky in his backstory, making weapons that were then later used by a third party. Franky didn't sell his weapons or have any greater intent for them beyond perfecting them to defeat Sea Kings, but he did make them and they were used to hurt people. Franky blamed himself for years for what happened, holding himself responsible, to the point that eventually, even Iceberg, who had the staunchest view on Franky's culpability to begin with, told him that he had to forgive himself and move on, and Tom never blamed Franky to begin with, saying that a craftsman should never deny their creations, but rather take pride in their work, regardless of its use. It's just interesting the way that One Piece sometimes has a moral lesson that is later contradicted in a different context, which might be sloppy writing, or might be a subtle commentary on the nature of right and wrong meaning different things to different people and relative merits of perspectives. There's another example later on that is much more stark and connected by a shorter stretch of time which makes me think it's the latter.
Is it really a contradiction though? Franky made these ships out of passion for engineering and ship-building and never had any intent for them being used as weapons or against people. Caesar on the other hand knew they would likely be used for chemical warfare and sold them to evil pirates anyway, even being proud of their destructive nature and the damage it brought to other people. Caesars weapons were used as intended by him, by the person he willingly sold it to and he didn’t care, Frankys weapons were stolen, used by people he didn‘t know and used in a way he never wanted or intended them to be used
"Franky blamed himself for years for what happened, holding himself responsible" - it's not contradictory because as you yourself have highlighted, the context is very different. Their intents and personalities are vastly different. Not the same at all.
it' two sides of the same coin, on one hand we have franky and a certain long tongued man who create things purely out of their passion towards the work which would later be used against them against their will. On the other hand we have ceaser who willingly creates destructive weapons just so he can and make profit out of it, doesn't give a damn how it will be used later on.
Ok so this is one of Oda's flaws, I assume the rainruption that btw happens 2x a day washed the appendages away but not the gas or the people laying on the ground half ended. Not that it woulda matter the legs done after this long, it woulda needed to be put on ice right away. As for Dog and Cat, since they were in a stableish condition it was better to check them over and bandage anything important like the leg, which Dog totally should have bled to death from. But also things like his back, neck and head. If he has any injuries there bringing him down might actually do more damage. And Dog did have bandages around his chest when they brought him down so good call Chopper.

bro, don't equate Franky with that loser
