@@MikesMachines thanks. My 1990 LM 1000 has about 40k miles (about 65k km), and is starting to foul plugs. It started suddenly after a multi hour battle with stop and go traffic. I’ll be taking it apart in the spring (in US). If it needs guides, I’ll be using the k-lining approach shown in your other video and also making sure the valve stem/rocker interface is correct. Very interesting. I'm looking to check on my 850 T3 valves and it is much appreciated to have a video tutorial
need two cut outs in the tool, with a full circle on top of the spring cap. will work much easier.

The speedo had around 86,000 km on it but I suspect the bike has done a lot more.
