    Did a similar job on mine at 95,000kms Has the heads K-lined for the exhaust guides, polished the valve stems and cut to the seats/valves and all good. Noticed your fairing bolt holes above the heads are a bit messy. This is because you are missing the little spacers and grommets, without them everything is bolted hard together and the engine vibration destroys the fairing. Have a very close look at a parts diagram to see what you need.

      @@MikesMachines unfortunately many "former" owners took the old "in" jokes about "old tractors" and the factory throwing bikes together with whatever parts they had "at hand" too literally and thought they could just leave bits off when trying to fix things themselves.

    How many miles Mike? Mine is coming up to 90k miles and is just starting to darken up the plug. Runs great though.

      It's done around 86,000 ks which is about 53,400 miles according to the odometer. However I reckon it's had a pretty hard life from the general condition of the bike so it may have done a heap more. It was still running great though which shows you how good these bikes are.

    I managed to remove the cylinders from My 73 Eldorado and 82 Monza without taking the tank off on either LOL. Easier with the tank off though, just due to not freaking about scratching the paintwork.
