My college offers this, but I’m wondering is this in industrial plants? And what is the salary like?

What's possible isn't the same as one can reasonable expect, and can get someone's hopes up. Realistically, an Electronics Technician in the US can expect to make about $17/hr, even with a college degree. It's not great, and is the main reason why I suggest getting into something different.

@@CyborgForgael I dont know what economic world you live in, but $17/hour is the starting wage of a panda express worker in the midwest. Working for a utility company, starting wage is $30+ with a 2 year degree.

@@llortaton The cost of living in one’s own area provides different context when sharing hourly rates, which can change by area, as you’ve pointed out.
To give an idea on what life as an ET is like, a lab technician (typical outcome of Electronics Technology degree holders) can usually afford something like a one-bedroom apartment and a used car, and can usually handle utilities. But if you’d want to try to raise a family, you’d run into problems.
It really depends on what you want out of life. But from what I’ve seen, the most successful ET students were the ones that managed to pass themselves off as something different, such as industrial electricians.
