Imagine the strength of the man who fought a tornado for the door to close! I am sorry to hear about the ones that lost their life, but happy to hear any of these survivor stories.
The emotion in her voice… the healing that needs to happen for these amazing people will be long. The cooler was a great idea. It saved their lives. Incredible. Survivors guilt is a lot and hopefully they have lots of support around them! Would love to see a go-fund-me for these folks.
I've been to Rolling Fork several times over the years, and will be heading back with relief supplies soon. This is not a wealthy area for the most part, and these folks will certainly need all of our help. I am glad to hear they are already receiving aid.
Rollingfork is a small community where everybody knows everybody. My mother is from there and I still have family there. My aunts are safe but lost everything.
This community is so loving and working as one. I hate to see their pain, so deep, and yet I envy the closeness of these friendships. A value worth so much. Excellent interview, thank you for being real. Love to you all.
This is how good reporting is done. The survivors really connected to how vulnerable we are trusting only each other. Where are the sirens if you know what I mean.
Good reporting! Are you crazy. The media is pushing this woman who can barely talk!! Is this so " you" get something out of her anguish! I am pissed they have her on when she can barely talk!! Shame on them!!!
What impresses me is someone had the intuition to know to get everyone to the cooler. In the path of an EF4 or 5 tornado you damn near NEED to be out of the way or underground. So I am very glad someone had respect for mother nature and knowledge to get everyone in to the cooler. I hope this town can rebuild and move through this tragedy.
Bless their hearts everything they worked for gone in just a few minutes. Praying they rebuild better than before, I feel a blessing will come from this tragedy for this community and for these sweet ladies. This broke my heart.
I hope they all know that it wasn’t the building that gave so much to their community, it was them. You can re-build the restaurant but you can’t rebuild the loss of life. And through the grace of God they’re all standing there today ready to re-build all they lost. And one day soon they’ll all smile again as they open new doors and open their arms to all the people that will build new memories with them and new smiles, and comfort one another through the grief. Sending you love and hope from Canada 🇨🇦🇺🇸
This is devastating..... watching on from Australia ..... sending many prayers your way for sure..... God will protect you all ... God will look after you all.. Stay strong ... xxx
My prayers are with you during this time of devastation. Went through a category 5 hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas we are just a small island. I feel there 😢emotions. It will get better
I know what you mean but sometimes it’s good to talk about it, to let it out so the healing process can start, keep it inside can cause more trauma, I don’t know this people but am so proud of how they be there for each other🙏
I think the point of this interview was to get their story out in a way where any outsiders could possibly contribute, or help them in their healing/rebuilding process. Its very raw, and real also.
For sure. Lots of sustaining adrenaline in the first few hours and days of trauma. Then the body starts to settle. Very hard what they are all going through.
Watching her being interviewed over and over, this is the interview that truly hit me. I am not even a fan or watch or tune into GMA, but I saw this and had to watch. I cannot even imagine how it feels to know the tornado was literally at your heels. I don't have tons of funds, but I will definitely donate. This resturant seemed like one of those where locals know it is the place to go for warmth and home-cooked food. We have a dairy bar up the road and it's the same way, where you have regulars that have come for decades. These sort of resturants are a true knit knot of a smaller, rural community..especially in a rural area that isn't super "well to do" (that is beyond their control) but has so much community and love.
Thank God y'all survived!! I just can't even imagine what you are going through. We can just hear and **feel** the trauma you are going through. I wish y'all had been watching Ryan Hall, Y'all here on UA-cam - we were tracking this storm and knew a long time before it hit where it was going. This is exactly why Ryan does what he does.... so folks like you have more than "just a minute" to find shelter. God bless, y'all!!!
Ladies I am so very sorry that you all had to endure this devastating Trauma. All that I can say is all of you are in my sincerest thoughts and prayers are with y’all! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽😭😭😭🥺🥺heartbroken 💔 💔💔
You can see how much of a strong, hard working business owner this woman is. The fact she is feeling the dread of asking for help, even when it's out of her control, just shows how genuine she is being. I hope you all heal, and get your business built up again, back and running! Sending love!
I'm from griffin Georgia Ours was three months ago. I won't say it's been easy cause it's not. But this is one amazing reporter. I could actually feel her concerns about this town and just not reporting the news.
I don't know if it was right to ask them if they're doing ok. You can see real PTSD in early developing stages in these fortunate women. May God be with them & love😢
It's not the time to interview them. The restaurant owner is severely traumatized. I hope she realizes she can say no and refrain from doing any further interviews if she chooses not to and receive the psychological support she needs, as well as her husband and the employees.
I don't think they are in a situation to talk to reporter's right now. They are in a state of shock coming out alive. Please give them time to digest what just happened.
These r some very loving caring people so heart broken 4 what they have went thur. This could b anyone of us God bless them my grand children live in Mississippi not far fr where this tornado hit. I'm sending prayers to all these people. God bless them all.
I’m yelling!!! God bless you I love you It’s gonna be ok God loves you You’re Strong I will pray I wish I could do more I love you 💕❤️😘 You’re gonna be ok #Mississippistrong
OMG this is devistating I feel your pain what a horrible thing for you all to go through god was watching out for you three, My condolences to those who have lost love ones their businesses their pets and homes OMG , we all around the world are aware what has happened I hope you all receive the support financially and mentally immediately, May god be with you all at this time of need , god bless you god be with you and keep you safe from any further distruction. Please don't embrace survivors' guilt. You are so blessed for a reason. You have our prayers & ask for all you need & it will be given you. Jah Bless...

That's a man who knew he needed to fight for those in that cooler.
My heart aches for these people who have gone through such devastating things.Prayers for all of this city, Peace in the coming days .
Prayer’s without action is just hot air leaving the body. Pressure your representatives to fight climate crisis people over profits
@@bobbyjohnson116 I believe in God and prayer! Start your day with a prayer.

Oh, Lord...please give them strength to go through this time of unspeakable tragedy😥I'm praying for you all🙏
Praying for all of these folks and what they've been through.

It's ok to say that you're not ok. You're alive; yes but you are traumatized and that's normal. Quick thinking saved your lives. Hugs from New York.
You have every right to ask for help. I'm so glad you all survived. I am so sorry you all went through something that horrific.
❤ exactly
My sweet cousin, Tracy. We love you.
Bless their hearts everything they worked for gone in just a few minutes. Praying they rebuild better than before, I feel a blessing will come from this tragedy for this community and for these sweet ladies. This broke my heart.

Such beautiful women and the husband who helped, God answers prayers. Prayers to you all❤️🙏🏼
I’m so glad they are safe!!!
This is traumatizing them they shouldn’t be force to talk about this right now. They need time to heal.
Traumatized, yes. What she is saying may save others. There have been instances where others found safety in store freezer/coolers during tornadoes.
I know what you mean but sometimes it’s good to talk about it, to let it out so the healing process can start, keep it inside can cause more trauma, I don’t know this people but am so proud of how they be there for each other🙏

The owner was doing better 2 days ago but she seems to have been crushed by the last 24 hours of realizing the total destruction.
For sure. Lots of sustaining adrenaline in the first few hours and days of trauma. Then the body starts to settle. Very hard what they are all going through.

Wow, my heart and prayers go out to them and others 🙏🙏
These women are still in shock. They and I’m sure everyone else in this community need counseling to process this traumatic event.
