      @@JaneRobinson24 I've been replanting for years and I can't get one person to just spend 20 bucks on seeds. Pick a plant that does alot in your own area. Like the cone flower. Or get pine tree seeds ect. No one really wants to take a hour out of their whole year and go plant. Nope and neither does any scientists they just want cash to donate to themselves. Solving a problem isn't the goal

    God bless you all effected by these storms. Please have storm shelters for these towns and cities effected by tornadoes. Mississippi has always had a lot of bad weather. This is the worth I've seen for years with damage from a tornado. To blow a semi truck away to land like that is just scary. I pray all these people get help and my deepest condolences to the lives lost.

      Having been in a similar situation, with very little to start with I wasn't as attached to the importance of an old house as someone with extensive holdings and possesions. I still owned the land and my family weren't killed. ( The reporter echoed similar sentiments when he mentioned what ppl there were saying.) However, I'm an Aussie. It was in Darwin a city of 46,000 ppl that was destroyed by cyclone Tracy. The gov were committed to whatever it took to restore the city and jobs. From what I hear USA gov (red or blue alike) are less inclined to really help their ppl. On-line friends have said a natural disaster like this in small towns could very well wipe them off the map no matter how resilient folks are. Indeed heartbreaking.

    Thus is horrible. The damage is just terrible and it’s odd looking. It’s like there are mounds of debris as if stuff was pulled into a funnel and then dropped to the ground in that same funnel shape.

    With so many tornadoes all over these many years, it is heartbreaking to hear so many tragedies have happened, from people losing to their houses and belongings, to people losing their lives. What I still don’t understand is why don’t states have regulations to build houses that will sustain strong winds and tornadoes. In California, buildings and houses must be retrofitted to meet seismic requirements, and new buildings & houses must meet seismic requirements. Why don’t they do the same in all these states that are impacted with tornadoes have some regulations to have buildings/houses adhere to some safety regulations? Mind boggling!!!
    Remember the story of the three little pigs: “The third little pig worked hard all day and built his house with bricks. It was a sturdy house… It looked like it could withstand the strongest winds. … And he [the wolf] huffed, huffed, and he puffed, puffed; but he could not blow the house down.”
    Why don’t the build houses with bricks or stones that will withstand strong winds? Some of it are developer companies that are building houses with cheap material. Shame on them!

    Why do Americans build such flimsy houses. Timber frame homes are substandard

  • @agrrb7
    @agrrb7 Рік тому +3

    Why are the houses built so flimsy, mainly of wood and drywall? Even a tornado could not destroy a concrete reenforced steel rod construction. I suppose there must be a reason why such houses are not built.

Any metal or concrete enclosure sunken in your yard can save your life. Communities should work together in purchasing shelters. Prayers for those affected 🇺🇸

      Good idea. The places of worship would be a good start. Build sturdier so they don’t get wiped out and are able to convert to shelters, plus kit them out with food,water,blankets,etc. After all that’s their prime purpose.
