  • "Someday Sweetheart" played by King Oliver and His Dixie Syncopators (Savannah Syncopators on this and the original Brunswick pressing); Vocalion Origins of Jazz V. 1004 (1950s repressing; originally pressed on Brunswick 3373) (10"). Electrically recorded in Chicago on 17 September 1926.

    Bud Scott: banjo.
    Bert Cobb: brass bass.
    Paul Barbarin: drums.
    Played with a Burmese Colour Needle on a gramophone with a homemade 80 Hz exponential horn, Victor Orthophonic soundbox, and HMV swan-neck tone-arm, currently in a prototype cabinet.

    Such a deal! Tuba solo and quite a reed section. One of lots of great versions of this fine tune.
