😁👍
piece of the the good life music what a great way to live .
Nice and lively! Jazz Age favorite!
Beautiful recording of Gene Austin's "How Am I To Know." As a young boy, I found my first 78rpm recording "Yes Sir, That's My Baby" Gene Austin in a warehouse while working as a part time (Xmas help) window trimmer and mannequin dresser for an exclusive department store in Tulsa Oklahoma. The boss knew I loved old recordings from my mother's generation 1920's and said I could have it. Over the years, I added to my collection more than 20 of Gene Austin's popular recordings. My mother worked at 5 and 10 in Buffalo, and told me they sold phonograph records there and Gene Austin's was the most popular in 1926 and '27. Thank you for posting this beautiful song on UA-cam. My favorite of his is "Garden In The Rain." So beautiful!!!
Where do you get those giant horns?
wish i could give more likes .
Excellent sound! Congratulations!
Thank you.
I just wanted to leave a comment and say how much of a spiral this channel has sparked in me. Love the videos - thanks for sharing them!
What a jaunty tune. I love it! And your player sounds amazing as always.
Now that is your homemade horn? I like the swirl pattern.....
Is that made from wood?
A perfect summation of this day... #MourningInAmerica :-(
Top 3 songs to peak some Alpine peaks to
Her name is correctly spelled as Nathalie - spelled incorrectly on the album as well.
Wonderful sound ! Bix Beiderbecke loved Rachmaninoff ...good enough for me !
EQB Gramophones Who is the orchestra conductor?
I’m going to answer it myself. The correct answer is LeRoy Shield.
Great song…great band…I never tire of Coon-Sanders Nighthawks…still one of the 1920s-early ‘30s very best bands.
I am interested in when various labels started recording electrically ?
Outstanding
Love the early Victor electric Whiteman recordings!
This is a charming and jolly old-fashioned piece of music. 🎶
As the description states, electrically recorded. So why not play the record on an electrical phonograph. It makes no sense to me
Columbia dubbed the 78s from a 16 in 33 rpm acetate, then the LP version in 1949 (ML 4121). They began cutting classical masters at 33 1/3 rpm in 1940, preparing for the LP years before its surprise June 1948 debut.
Een opgewekt deuntje. Leuk! 😊
💖😁💖😁💖
Wat mooi dat u al deze mooie platen wilt delen met een grotere groep 😊
So well-done!
Is it just me, or is there a slight echo in this recording? Normally electric recordings from the '20s are a lot "shaper".
Great to hear the other take of this. Happy New Year! 😊
Columbia made and sold the Little Wonder discs for $0.10 each, far less than the $0.65-0.75 for 10 in (25 cm) discs at the time.
Now that is a beauty.
This existing in this condition 110 years after it was made is incredible. The past was preserved beautifully.
Very cool! Very hot!
Olive Klein died on July 29, 1976 at the age of 89.
It's too bad that electrical recording wasn't in place during the 1910's. A lot of female vocalists would have benefited from the clarity and richness. Full range recording advancements of the mid 1930's would have really been great.
I have the Joe Sanders 1926 arrangement!
A groovy one 😊
What a beauty
Thank you!
I am a big fan of Frank Ferera's Hawaiians, so this realy hit hits the spot.
Gee! That’s some hi fi sound!
I like the exponential horn better, but i also have to say that although some are Crying for the Carolines, i personally am Looking for my Shanghai Lil.
Great sound. Acoustic recordings are difficult to reproduce and the choral section and orchestral backing are remarkably clear on this playback. I am curious about your homemade horns. If you have made a video about them, i would like the link -- and if you haven't, please tell us more.
Do you have a video about your homemade horn? I'd like to know more.
I love Billy Murray!
Subscribed! Thank-you for posting this gem 🙏
Makes me kind of despise modern "hits." Ah, what do I know?
My grandparents used to boogie down to this tune before the stock market crash. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Heerlijk nummer 😊
